Possibly the coach still had the shits on from the feedback he received throughout and after the game some provoked some unprovoked

Interesting a football incident that occurs every week has landed the player a suspension!

The saints should have fought it, they didn't, they now have to cop it

might cost the lad the medal

Have you seen the footage…….it’s obvious why the club didn’t fight it.

Saw the footage saw it live from close range
The club was given advice not to plead guilty from someone external to NEFL
NEFL had the footage and we’re going to convict on it
Prescribed penalties mean clubs less likely to fight
1 week prescribed would’ve become 3 at the tribunal

Watched the last three quarters of the South vs North game. A good crowd on a cold day. Not the greatest game ever played, but North did enough to get a convincing win.

Lots of players out for North due to injury and some players stuck interstate for work due to COVID restrictions.

Tyson Francis was impressive for north with a bag of goals, i think 6 or 7.

Didn’t catch any footy on the weekend but a huge win for min man. The league is crazy tight, they sit 5th but only two wins from top.

Exciting finish coming up.

Agreed, and starts this week. Two entertaining games that may shape the top 4:

RSMU vs Saints at Riverton. Both sides will be up a for a good showing in this clash. A Saints win could see them push for a top 2 spot. I am tipping a tight contest particularly through the middle of the ground. On a dry day, I think the Hawks may have a bit too much pace on the larger home ground, if its wet, it may be a leveler. Purely being on the Hawk's home deck, a win, but just.

North Clare vs MinMan. MinMan had a good win last week. By all reports could have put RSMU away earlier in the game too. MinMan flogged North in the first round. Depending on who North can get back into the side may change the result, but think MinMan will be too strong this week.

BSR vs South. BSR should have a good win at home, 10+ goals at least

Blyth vs BBH. This will be a good game, Blyth at home should secure the win.

Ive been up here four years now and there hasn't been a season in that time where there was 5 genuine title contenders. Most weeks should see bare minimum one cracker game.

Great for the comp and the neutral spectator.

Hawks have at least 6 out all top line ( allegedly) great chance for the saints to consolidate and push into the top 2 - they have North then Min man in the next two games
Min man will have the goods for North and if they can slip into the top 4 may give it a shack

Make that 7 players out now for the Hawks. B grade ringing all the retired blokes trying to fill a team.
Saints to win big in both As and Bs. :?

Crazy good win

BSR won by 7-9 goals in both b and a grade, closer games than the score suggested though.

Another bye this week, welcomed by most teams you would think. Its tight in both the senior comps this year especially the A Grade, only certs there is Blyth, BBH and South Clare wont play finals, the rest is up for grabs.

A Grade Ladder
1. BSR (15)
2. Southern Saints (13)
3. Min Man (12)
4. RSMU (12)

5. North Clare (12)
6. Blyth (4)
7. BBH (4)
8. South Clare (0)

B Grade Ladder
1. Southern Saints (16)
2. Min Man (16)
3. BSR (12)
4. BBH (8)

5. North Clare (8)
6. Blyth (8)
7. RSMU (4)
8. South Clare (0)

Results went the way most would have picked this week.

Crazy tight at the top, 3 teams in particular would be aiming for a top 2 spot but could still easily miss out on finals with a bad fortnight of football

Next week is huge with the top 4 all playing each other and North Clare needing a win away to Burra to keep their finals hopes alive.

Should be excited - get the week off training without having to think of lame excuses or blame the rain. 8)
