No doubt they would have a crack at the Barossa but im certain the BLG wouldn't even place it as an agenda item.

well they have until the 31st May to apply or they wont be there in 2022

They could very well be in a bit of a pickle and may need SANFL help to assist them.

Wouldn’t think the SANFL would ‘allow’ them to not have a league to play in given their participation numbers and encatchment area

What`s everyone thoughts about the standard of the APFL?
Hearing Balak wanted to move to NEFL but thats def stronger and they are struggling in APFL

Is it stronger.

BSR played Malalla in a trial game this season, I know we had a few out and im sure they would have as well but the first 3 quarters of A Grade football was a very tight affair. Both teams are top of their respective comps and from what I saw not a lot separates them.

Looking at the names of players Balak have and how they performed in the NEFL last year I would think Balak wouldn't lose to South Clare at the moment who are struggling big time.

I've always had the NEFL above the APFL

The top side in the APFL or two. Could pretty much match it in any league and be competitive. Maybe not winning flags but pushing sides.

From my experience Barossa or Hills div 1 were the highest standard comp, dependent on the ins/outs for the year. In which the top NEFL side would place a 3rd or 4th in the Hills or Barossa. And the top of the APFL around the same slightly lower.

I think the drop off is just more pronounced down the ladder in the APFL compared to the NEFL

As for AV in the Barossa.

Definitely not even an agenda item. If the BLG were ever to absorb APFL clubs Two Wells, Mallala and United would be well ahead of AV.

They wouldn't be up to standard for starters, lack a netball club, and are for most accounts feral according to what I've been told. Wouldn't even make it to the draft agenda.

Surely it's time to have discussions regarding Freeling into the APFL - would remove the bye from both APFL (*if AV leaves) and BL&GFA

Would be a difficult decision for both leagues and clubs, but strengthen and level both leagues involved!

Why would Freeling want to enter into those discussions? God forbid clubs go through a tough period.

Were able to win without their star recruit as well! Great result for the club and league…… I wonder how many players angle vale will claim they’ll missing in this lost? The number seems to be going up after each lost.

Mallala flying atm.
Two Wells close in pursuit.
Angle Vale would be welcoming the Bye round to sit down and have a breather to then get through the next group of 3 games unscathed, Virginia away is a very important match.
Balaks are starting to gel and look the dangerous team we expected them to be.
Can never underestimate Virginia.
Hummocks could start making a push with some handy returns.
Hamley can cause some headaches.
United to keep plugging away.

Is the Angle Vale forward line a bit crowded with two big strong marking forwards? Kovacic was averaging 7 goals per game before Webber joined the fray and has averaged 2.3 gpg since.

The two games they've played together have netted them 4 and 5 collectively, is Webber playing CHF?

You'd think it would be a tough acquisition to man both up adequately.

Purchased a copy of today’s Plains Producer for the first time in a while and gee the coverage of the APFL has dropped off.
Hamley knock off the 3rd placed team in a nail biter and get a small article at the bottom of the page, while United get comprehensively beaten again and receive a friendly headline/article that takes up half a page. Bring back Les Pearson I say!
