Little activity on this page with the season fast approaching
Hearing that a few sides are very low on numbers and may struggle to field 2 x senior sides,
Very quiet on clearance page also.
Any big recruits??

Depends on what you class as a big recruit? Butcher to Hamley seems like the only big recruit/name heading to APFL so far..... Hennessy heading back to Mallala I guess is also big but apart from haven’t seen or heard much more...... Going to be interesting to see in the next couple weeks in the clearance page who’s heading back to Balaklave and HWE

Giddy, no clearances in for Two Wells yet? What’s happening? Seems like a few clubs are adding quality players and Two Wells are sitting on their hands. The golden generation of juniors are now in theirs 30s, seems risky.

I think if you look into it, the blokes who are making the difference are under 25 still. Humphreys, L.Barnett & Slattery etc With the added polish of those older lads to help them out.

Good hit out between Angle Vale and Brahma Lodge yesterday

Owls by about 10 goals in the ones - killed the Lodge on the switch and spread
Lodge by a couple of goals in the twos

Only downside was the old umpire running the one's, still thinks he is playing and gets in the way - what do you think @Lightning McQueen 8)

Yeah, he was crap, I've never seen the ball get handballed or tapped directly at an umpire so much in the one game, absolute ball magnet.

I'm surprised he got through two games for the day after blowing a hammy twice in the past 6 weeks.

Top 3 of div 7
Around 3-6 of div 6
Bottom 3 of div 5 would be about my uneducated take on it.

Couldn't really take much out Sunday anyway with a shitload of players out of each side, players rusty, warm first hit out, an exclusion zone in the middle of the oval and a trial is simply that, a chance to brush off some cobwebs.

Both teams would've improved on their lists from last year, it's a 3 horse race in div 7 for mine, Angle Vale have the cattle to push for a finals berth if they can keep their injury list short, if their midfield can deliver the ball into the big fella at full forward they'll go alright, does anyone know if Woody is still playing too?

I’m hearing United are really really struggling to get numbers out for both A’s and B’s and possibly won’t have a 17s team available either? Hows everyone else going for numbers?

Who cares what Angle Vale are doing!! Theyll implode throughout the year and finish 7th... They're a waste of space in this league!! Piss them back off to the Ammo's!!

Yeh few people feel the same way as you....but looking at their recruiting this year cant see much imploding happening would say more chance of clubs with super low numbers imploding like United.

Who have they recruited? They've recruited in the past and still never made finals.

Yeah United do look as though they will struggle a bit this year.

Shouldn't be allowed in, back to the city, Although I didn't like Balaklava thoughts of moving, I'm starting to see more and more of why, some clubs may not have junior football and struggling for numbers overall, Honestly unless something major happens in the next 2-3 yrs the league might be sunk.

Mallala v BSR Saturday, 45 players being used.

Without netball AV really should be in the amateur league. It’s inevitable that Balak will go and we know Hummocks are considering leaving too. If both those clubs leave then I think that will open the door for change.
