As far as i can tell, most leagues would be starting their finals this coming week (some leagues have already started). The only league i'm aware of who isn't starting their finals this week is Great Southern.
Just thought i'd start up this thread so people with intimate knowledge of their local league(s) can provide an update on the finalists, perhaps starting with which clubs will be playing first up this week.
The league that i know most about is RIVER MURRAY, and although i haven't seen the final premiership standings at the end of the minor round, i'm 99% sure the program for this week's finals would be:
QUALIFYING FINAL - Jervois v Ramblers (winner to play top finishing side Imperials)
ELIMINATION FINAL - Meningie v Mypolonga
Does anyone have details on HILLS finals? I presume Mt Lofty finished top, who will Uraidla be playing first up? Whos playing in the elimination final?
From an educated guess i'd say that the first week of finals in the PORT LINCOLN league would be
Marble Range v Mallee Park
and..
Waybacks v Tasmans.
Can anyone provide details on who will be playing this week in other leagues such as Yorke Peninsula, Barossa Valley, Riverland, Southern, Great Flinders, etc etc..

GWW ... Hills Central Division still has one minor round series left. Finals don't start til Sept.2-3.
Currently Mt Lofty appears likely to finish minor premier and will move into second semi final on Sept. 9.
Uraidla and Onka Valley will meet in qualifying final on Sept. 2. Hahndorf's win on Aug. 19 has secure them an elimination final berth, but who they play ... Lobethal, currently fifth ... Mt Barker and Blackwood still with outside chance of snatching fifth.
Country finals start this Saturday. Kangarilla finished minor premier.
Meadows to play Torrens Valley in qualifying final at Gumeracha on Saturday, while Kersbrook tackle Birdwood in Sunday elimination final at Maccy.

Thanks Brad. interesting to see Thevenard not a powerful club these days like they were 25 years ago. The controversial events of 2/3 years ago have obviously taken their toll.

Riverland has one more minor round series to go.
Interesting match this week is Loxton v Waikerie. The match will decide the minor premiership, then they'll play each other again the week after.
The Independents do start their finals this weekend:
Second semi: Cobdogla v Paringa (battle of last year's grand finalists) on Saturday.
First semi: Lyrup v Moorook
Meanwhile, Mallee Football League started their finals on the weekend with Karoonda knocking Pinnaroo out of the premiership race.
Border Downs Tatiara will play Lameroo in the second semi-final this Saturday in what should be a crackerjack game.

Im not sure what has caused Thevenards fall from the power club, I think everything goes in eras, reading the 'Bush Legends' book they last won in 1993 and their 32 consecutive Grand Finals finished in 1996. They made the Grand Final in 2004 their first since 1996, In the 3 footy seasons I have been here for Westies have won.
