It was a long summer dealing with players leaving!
It's been a good pre-season actually, and i'm thankful for the bye - think we have got it just about right - started in January one night per week, went to two in Feb, then trial games 28 Feb, 20 March and one next week 2 April (plus standalone short C grade hitout vs Para Hills Sat) has spaced out our games nicely and leaves us with around 3 weeks before our 1st game, whilst not over cooking the lads.
Don't get everyone available for trials anyway, think i've used 35 different players through the A grade squad alone in the two hitouts we have had, so it's not like everyone has been thrashed.
We may not win many games this year, but feels positive on the track, and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves.
