Looking forward to playing Fitzroy A's (Glenunga) and Fitzroy's B's (Fitzroy) in the next couple weeks, will be pretty undermanned, but who isn't during trial matches. It will be good to dust the cobwebs out.

It definitely helps boost our numbers, hopefully if we get a few more on the track as we get closer to the season we can split up into A's and B's on Thursdays prob need about 40 whcih we aren't too far off of

Make sure the club charges them a non-playing membership for use of the facilities. Districts were soft last season in letting players, who had left them just months prior, train with their players and use the oval and footy's. They did charge a *social membership though, a small consolation.

Hope Valley play Trinity on Sunday

Looking forward to our first hit out. The A grade will be a very young side this week so will be intersting to see how they go. Nothing like the open spaces of Thebbie oval for ya first run!
We are a drinking team with a football problem!

My ladder

1. Hope Valley- I reckon it'll be the year of the Demon, sounds like all is going good and heading along the right track down at the Valley.

2. Salisbury West- Have picked up a few/ have a few returning so I think they will travel well throughout the year.

3. Plympton- The benchmark of the Div, should be up there again IMO. I still can't believe bloody Calderbank is coaching the Red Dogs!

4. Brahma Lodge- Despite having a few impotant losses I reckon they'll set the standard and perform well through the year.

5. Rosewater- Always seem to be around the mark, do have some big losses in Horsell and Searle though.

6. North Haven- I reckon we'll finish about 6/7.

7. Wodville South- Seem to be in a similar position we are/were in being a younger side and coming down, not sure what to expect from them. Our trial match against them might give us an indication.

8. West Croydon- Will go pretty well I think, Have lost Vessali and Pederson which were two important, GF winning players.

9. Adelaide Lutheran- Haven't heard much but have two huge losses in Miegel and Hodges.

10. Lockleys- Might struggle coming up considering they have lost some important players.

Luthis have picked up a few and got some very handy forwards back from injury this year - Gilliland, Allison, Hensel. Ty Allen will dominate in the guts with Hollamby...
Can't replace a Rowan Miegel.... but I think they will sneak in the 5 and have a red-hot crack from there!

These blokes training with us have been really good for us IMO, definetly helps us out and lifts the standard of our training.

Good on the club for letting them train with us, they obviously can't make out to their country club midweek but still need to get some training their belts in one way or another. I don't think our players have any problems with it, it's good to train with these blokes who have played in higher grades of footy to see where your at with your own game.
