players out what is going on down there at Uni they are just doing enough but they find themselves around the mark now
was at the modbury game at the weekend the hawks again playing soem very exciting football, also seen the incident where Vassal
has been reported and all i can say is WHAT A JOKE the softest send off i have ever seen and the umpire should be going to the tribunal
for a terrible decsion

The umpires the officiated the Modbury v SHOC games were Curtis Deboy and Adrian Drosd. If there are officilas who read this or any other post I want you to take note. Firstly congratulations for appointing DeBoy-this young kid did himself and the selection committee proud, he kept up with the play, was concise and precise with his decision making and even over ruled a more senior (in age not experience) umpire in Adrian Drosd. Unfortunately for Adrian he lacked positioning badly and made numerous decisions from 20 metres away. This is the second time time I have praised the young umpires as the 2 kids who did the D2 reserves game Modbury v Athelstone also did a great job. Before any one says anything, I am not an officiado on umpiring, I do however have a fair grasp on how the game is played and fully appreciate everyones job on the playing field.
Roll on the young kids who put their hand up to umpire; keep up the good work and well done for the Umpiring board for promoting and rewarding their good efforts. A huge boo to those officials who may think they are bigger than the game-it does not work
Show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser.

What the *&#@ you on about Rotter.
You seem to be very judgemental about alot of things on various clubs ( Seaton ) & i should say some people ( Jackson ).
What you know about footy could be written on the back of a matchbox.

He wouldn't be able to write NM
Who would have thought No-Mercy then his puppet Buzz to back him up would come on line. So you can insult others and their clubs but when someone wants to throw something out there that may contradict you, you ark up. You pass judgement on my club, Modbury and any other club you might have crossed swords with and then make out to be a paragon of virtue. You've got a screw loose. Oh and Buzz, good comeback!!!!!!!!!!

Well what club are you associated with then..........

Buzz, the only time to use an apostrophe with moron is when it is possesive, e.g:

The moron's nickname is Buzz.
I put that in there for you Shrek, fully expecting you to be the one to see the irony.

Seaton would still towel up Modbury today & Modbury would be sitting in between Rostrevor & Broadview in A1s, thats being generous.
Seaton wern't good enough on the day last year & it had nothing to do with respect for our coach, if their was no respect for our coach, how did we get to the grand final in the first place? You blokes down Modbury had a better side than Seaton but CHOKED finals time, thats what i was refering to in a previous post earlier, you talk about respect for coaches, yours wasn't shown much at the end of the day from your own people.

Modbury was missing Jolly, Darren Mitchell had stress fractures in his feet, 1 fit ruckman, Scudds hardly played towards end of year due to injury and wasnt fit enough plus the depth of the club was no where near strong as it is this year. so i dont think you can say we had a better team in the finals. We did beat TTG by 5 goals with no vassal, garfoot and vandeveld also

I won't go into our injury list at the time as all sides have injuries, its just some people want to use them as an excuse for their disappointing loss, it doesn't get you anywhere.
Even taking bragging rights from a trial game v T T Gully, woopeeee thats magnificent! Seaton beat them for premiership points.

The 3/4 time score was Uni 12.13 to Athelstone 8.8, that makes it 4.5 up.

What did you think of the extra point that was given to Uni early in the last quarter? Umps made a big mistake and it should have been a draw.
Quite correct Blu, must admit to overlooking that AFC kicked the last 7 and that come back started just before 3/4 time not after. As for the point, Mmmm not sure though a couple of blokes reckon one of our points was a goal anyway so where do you draw the line on what would've or should have been and if you really want to dissect it we also kicked 19 points for the day with 6 of those in the last quarter not to mention the 4x25 mtr penalties awarded to you to bring you inside 50 for 4 goals but that's footy. Whilst you're 2-3 and some might say unlucky not to be 3-2, you've also played the sides in the top half of the comp so some good results should follow in the next few weeks. For what it's worth I think you're a pretty good side. PNU's resistance looks like it's burst copping a whipping from Pembroke and I think from memory you've got them this week at Payneham.

I think you are right there, we may well have kicked the last 2 in the third, so we were down by 7. We had a pretty bad quarter there, and Uni did well. I agree, your kicking for goal wasn't good, but I think it has been a bit that way all year. We've got Pembroke this week, looking forward to the rematch as they kept us out of the Div 3 GF in 2006. Looks like the Pinkney boys played well on the weekend so we'll have to keep a close watch on them.

NM you have no idea Seaton FC and Modbury are two different teams you will never know who would beat who this year i dont see how you are so confident thats you would thump Modbury from all reports and coming from someone close to the club your side is nothing to write home about and i think if they happend to play you would be in for a rude shock!!!!!

I can't believe you lot are getting so arky about a hypothetical situation...sheesh!

It's like getting all defensive over a discussion on who's more likely to win a fight out of mighty mouse and superman

Seaton are in div 1 and do not need to be discussed in the div 2 forum thanks..

Question to ask you guys, is PHOS Camden the real deal this year? would they be the early favourites for the Div 2 Flag?

still think Modbury are better. but phos may have a bit more depth with ther b grade. Too close to call as yet.
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

PHOS have always had a strong young B grade side and it looks like these younger players may be starting to develop into solid A graders. Modburys B grade look to have had a shaky start compared to there A's but in saying that there past 3 games have been impressive. Lets just say when these 2 clubs clash i hope grass roots are there to catch the action.
