I wasn't at the NH WS game but hear it was a pretty even contest with Havens just edging it although Woody Souths had a heap out so I wouldn't read too much into it.

I wasn't there but someone from Woodville South who I had a few with at Soundwave said as many as 10 missing

If this keeps up, both sides fielded a team of zero players
Was a good hit out for both sides. Obviously alot of players missing from both sides........Haven's probably got up by 2-3 goals in a low scoring game.
Had plenty of players in the 'B' grade as well which is promising for the club.

Played in the B Grade game. Got the honor of captaining the young team for the day, which even though it was only a trial, it felt good having that role.

That was probably one of the funnest games ive played in a long time. If the boys can keep up the good things and work on the not so good things, we'll have a reasonable year. Looking forward to it.

Howd my lads, Ty, Luke and Nathan Ruskin play?

Definitely was a good contest on a very big ground.. Woodville south probably had about 5 out of the A grade. 5 players who would have slotted in nicely mind you. Also roughly 10 out of the B grade team so it was a pretty under manned side.. North Haven looked reasonably good. I think the thing that hurt woodville south was they had no midfield structure where as north haven did. So once they sort all that kind of stuff out i have no doubt they will be on the improve.. Also doesnt help playing on such a big ground as we didnt have the fitness of north haven. I think it was pretty close after about the first 10 mins were havens kicked a few goals.. not much scoring happened after that..

Does anyone know if Rick Woodrow played for them yesterday? Was told he is making a comeback, if his knees hold up he will be a massive asset
If i was in charge at Westies i wouldn't have him.
Stick with the youth & the experience that'll help the youth in the right way, not the experience thats led the club the wrong way in the past.

Hey I have to play against him this year if he lines up, and I wouldnt say he's a dirty player, but I would say he 's a hard unit that is happy to get as much as he gives. No one mentions his ability to find and use the footy which is very handy. Woodrow would have plenty infront of him when talking about blokes that throw cheap ones

Sounds like some positives for both sides out of the game which is exactly what you want to get out of trial games.

Do Woody South have any other trials?
I have a problem. It's to do with the little man, the squashed-in French man, the naked little squashed up hairy boy! You know! With the hand feet

Anyone from Westies help me out, but I don't think the boys have a lot of lee way with rregards to stupid antics on the field. I've heard the SAAFL have placed them under a closer watch than most clubs and that any undiciplined acts could result in the clubs demise. am I far off the mark?
I have spoke with people who are speaking to the SAAFL the week before they play Westies asking for another official to observe the games played.
This could go 2 ways: They live up to expectations OR they defy expectations
I hope for the clubs sake, its the latter!

I think you might find that they have had minimal misdemeanours on the field over the past few seasons, the problem I'm led to believe is a small section of spectators that have come under scrutiny, from all reports it has been addressed last season and they have got it under control.
Westies were given a list of commandments and have satisfied the SAAFL so far with their conduct.

How's your C grade shaping up Catters? Or is it a bit hard to say like most C grade sides (ie; not many training until the games start). Looking forward to playing against you blokes. Another club i will be able to tick off the list

With the demise of Smithfield and Paralowie and the availability of approximately 40 odd a graders, are there any heading to any div 5 clubs? If not where are they all headed?

Well my biased view of Ricky is that he is a top bloke and a great player who plays very hard and gives as good as he gets.

As for Creek, I don't know the bloke and I wasn't present for his previous offences so I can't comment on them. However I can comment on behalf of the North Haven player he kicked square in the face in the worst act of violence I have seen on a football ground in 23 years of footy and that is he is banned for a very good reason.

I think Elizabeth and Central United have picked up a few.

Gee I never knew that!! No worries to a bit of a smack in the chops, but to kick someone in the face is a criminal, off balanced act. Sounds like he has many issues! Maybe he didnt bond with a father figure.

You might want to check your facts on which Creek you are referring to mate.

Im pretty certain I know who it was. Salisbury West's current coach was the coach at North Haven at the time I reckon.

I am not going to comment on the guy as I don't know him and did not witness any other incidents so im in no position to comment on them, other than the one I just mentioned which I witnessed from about 5 metres away

I also only mentioned it to illustrate that is unfair to mention Ricky in the same sentence as the other guy as I have never seen him Ricky do anything at all of this nature.
