Is this a Div 7 thread or a What clubs have folded thread?
Will the wet weather affect results tomorrow?
Houghton to get over the jetlagged OSB.
Marion too good for Golden Grove
St Pauls to flog the nearly extinct breed of Lions
TTG to smash the Crabs
CU to get up over Mawson Lakes by less than a kick.

The following clubs have also folded in the last 20 years;

Golden North
Adelaide High
Cedars
Salvation Army

Whilst there are less clubs, there are a lot more teams now when compared to 20 years ago. Considering the amount of players of which are permitted to play C grade each week the league has far more players also.

Raiders with another shot on goal after the siren to win the game, but it fell short this week.

From their 47th free kick for the day. 30 out straight in front, wind at his back then kicked a tumbler to the goalsquare.

It was actually a mark from a centering kick 45m out, but don't let that stop you from having a classless whinge about the umpiring.

Units over Mawson Lakes by a goal in a at times fiery encounter.

Yeah my mistake the guy who got the free passed to him. I tend to exaggerate after 23 Pirate Lifes and 4 bottles of Rueben red.

Actually there was a ball up then Houghton won the clearance hand baller to a free player who centred the ball. I’m sure what game you watched

Given where they have come from in my experience they should be used to it.....the combined SFL/GSFL panel have a similar level of standard as SAAFL in some instances

Great day on the hill today watching some great local footy. Houghton taught us a lesson in the reserves, very good well drilled team who played their oval well. We haven’t seen many teams yet but they will be the team to beat this year no doubt. Lions have plenty to improve on and will be better for the experience.

Tight tussle in the A grade the Lions threatened to break it open a couple of times but Houghton hung tough and looked the winners late holding a 4 point lead into time on and kicking with a breeze. Gutsy win in the end by our boys but both teams can hold their heads high.

Cheers to the Houghton FC for the beers after the game and awesome hospitality. We will be sure to return the favour when you visit the den!

We’ve hardly won a game in 6/7 years and you think we think this will be easy?. Never heard a single person within the club say we will get an easy ride to a flag. We’re new to travelling, playing on ovals we’ve never seen before and so far have had two tightly contested battles. We are learning to win again as club and we are really enjoying our experiences in the AdFL.

Did Manage to take the day off today and venture up to Houghton and watch a few of the lads play for the lions....Bloody hell im glad I did!!! What a game of football!!! Umpiring up and down but great spectacle what this division has to offer.... Great to see so many players having a beer together after the game from both teams.......I do reckon once lions blow the cobwebs out there gonna be hard to beat!

More importantly I reckon Houghton have a bigger beer range than Dan Murphy’s

You might not think it.. but I bet you’re quality recruits who have all flooded back to the club think it was gonna be that easy
