nice! solid effort! any1 see the game??

I only caught the last 5 mins of the game, but was one of the most exciting finishes to a game for a PNU supporter. The boys were trailing by close to 3 goals with only a few minutes to play got back within 3 points and Billy Kolias marked about 30 out from goal, put it through to take the lead leaving enough time for the ball to be thrown up in the middle and Edwardstown were beaten by the siren. Plenty of celebrating by the PNU boys which seemed to kick on into the night with an entertaining club function. Would have been quite shattering for Edwardstown, although to their credit they seemed to take it very well.

I didnt see the game and I havent even spoken to anyone, so Billy saved the day huh? Well I'll be buggered  I will always maintain that when Tyson, Billy and Louie switched on, we win.

Having seen almost evey team this year and looking ahead to the second half of the year i reckon the table will end up looking like this.
Modbury will drop 1 eventually and maybe 2
PHOS genuine contenders esspecially if the weed is on fire up forward
SHOC fast moving with key targets. On day as good as anyone but struggle in finals
UNI will continue to improve have height/speed and well drilled
Athelstone will fade a little i think but still a better overall team that towns
Edwardstown lack something. there match tough but have dropped some games they shouldnt have which suggests they are vulnerable
SMOSH supposedly injury troubles should stay out of religation trouble with players coming back
PNU sounds like on there day can play some good footy but still think SMOSH might stay above
Scotch thought they would be stronger but cant see them improving to much
Pembroke see the kings next sat 'always play well against modbury' danger game for the hawks

Thoughts????

Think a few people are underestimating smosh at the moment.
With a full squad back and ready to fire after the break i think they will push alot of teams.
Porplycia and Fraser back in last week made a huge difference and with 4 more key position players and a couple of others due back next game smosh are looking at cracking finals.

Yeah looks pretty accurate so far but as mentioned previously on this thread it is a very tight comp and i would say excluding PHOS & Modbury there is still alot of movement to be done by other sides! Cant wait for the second half of the season!

Injuries can devastate a club very easily but to SMOSH supporters lets be honest if ur gonna get em u would rather have them now instead of September!

Scotch could still get a few from Sturt and I would be very surprised if they didnt end up around the mark. Very even comp
Athlestone V Edwardstown a big game after the BYE
No One will get close to Modbury?????

Scotch are 3 games out and i cant see them beating Modbury, SHOC and PHOS.

Modbury are no sure bet, they have good depth this year however..... They have been prone to lapses and have let teams back in but been able to hang on ie. Athelstone and PHOS.

Scotch does suprise me been so low down the ladder in both A and B grade. They would want to start winning soon otherwise a drop to div 3 could be on the cards. Still think it will between phos and modbury this year with shocs not far away. Jed wilson and D floreani high up in the best. Is taz still out there playing or is on the injured list.
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

Jolly is just going about his footy nicely. Not dominating games but what he does is classy and lthe team lifts when he does. The whole team has contributed to the success this year.

FInals are 10 games away.

No-one has had any success whatsoever yet.

It is all relative Turbo 182 - yes Modbury have had success but they will be"successful" if/when they win the GF or go to Div 1.

Without tempting fate, 10 weeks is a long time in footy

Wilson played last year at Mclaren Vale. Went missing a bit with his footy after missing out on state U/18 selection a couple of years back. Played a bit of U/19, 2s footy at the bay before that. Can play

Yes they are 10 weeks away !!!

But @ amatuer club level you can measure club success on the performance of your A grade club side !!!

So far this season Modbury's A Grade performance has had nothing else than success to date !!!

Ladder Predictions
Modbury - Hard to see them loose more than two games, great midfield and key forwards - suspect backs, might do a Freo in Finals, if other teams do get a home final against them play it at seaton!
PHOS - Well drilled side, fast aggressive midfield, relying on weed to kick goals!!
Edwardstown - All over good side, Golding in real good shape leads them great out of the ruck
SHOC - Not as good as top 3 mentioned but have real stars -shattock, juniper
SMOSH - If only they can keep a fit squad, porplycia fully fit is devastating, lot of away games in 2nd half... whisper whisper cakebread may return

Uni - The uni holidays are coming up!! Exams, four weeks holidays that could mean 5 loses in a row
Athlestone - Carry's hitmen are a good solid side, but are slow and unskilful at times
PNU - Could do ne thing and may even play finals, the comps so even, getting back to full strength
Scotch - Will be unlucky to be relegated
Pembroke - Will be unlucky to be relegated

I reckon you're not far off the mark but given you're probably going to need 10 wins to finish fifth, by your calculations SMOSH will win 7 out of 10 games with the greater majority of those away. Mmmmm interesting

I'll go with this

Modbury - they'd have to go on strike not to finish on top
SHOC
PHOS
Edwardstown
Uni

Athlestone
SMOSH
PNU
Scotch
Pembroke
