When or more precisly if SMOSH get their best 21 on the park they will prove more than tricky for Modbury SHOC PHOS & co... Anyway am interested on the Darzanos addition???...

I also took note the zippiness ( ) of spiro. Rather handy, although probably need a few more of him for SMOSH see september action.

that they showed some real character and rallied from 5 goals down at half time to win, a very impressive 2nd half, they now travel down to NM favourite side Smosh

Very similar Pembroke last year took it right up to Seaton at Pembrokes hole, i believe they were 8 goals up at 3qtr time, Seaton powered home in the last to win by 2pts, that was the 2nd game they met.
The first game was the other way around, Seaton were 8 goals up on Pembroke qtr time, only to see Pembroke work their way back the next 3qtrs & win by 2pts.
As for SMOSH this week footylover, i'd just like to wish them all the best coz their gonna need it!
Modbury by 60+pts

Why so much SMOSH talk? I expected them to be relegated. Surely no-one thinks they are any good. What are they hanging their hat on, one win against Uni?

NM you seem to have a real dislike even hatred could be the word for SMOSH, on what basis is this?? Is it all over what a couple of pelicans said down the Bartley Tavern one day in preseason?? Your worries should be more centred on Seaton, who are struggling because of there coach leaving last year, and not on SMOSH.

SMOSH almost have a full squad back, but jumping up a grade where teams are more professional and well drilled is still a struggle, no one down bartley way expects to be top, they will be very happy to stay out of relegation and maybe finish 6th. All credit has to go to PNU, Falcon Chick take note, watchin from the sidelines they were a well drilled, discipline outfit that oozed class on every line, they are the real smokey for the flag... not SMOSH.

Thats very flattering Mr Scotsman, but I think you'll find that SMOSH just made us look good. PNU ooze a lot of things, class only comes into it when our key players are SWITCHED ON. When Burrows, Martin, Patfull and Kollias are on fire we could almost beat anyone (and anyone that knows me knows I don't talk up PNU, if anything I can be scathing of poor performances).. Even on Saturday I caught on camera our 10 year key players making stupid mistakes resulting in turnovers.

On our day we can beat anyone with a full side, at the moment we are only 1 bloke short off a full side. I still think we might fall short of a PHOS or a Modbury (unless they let their guard down). A smokey for the flag is a nice thought, but unfortunately,we will finish at best 6th, which after their poor start to the year, is probably all they deserve. No lessons learned from last year.

I hope they prove me wrong though

With a full squad back and ready to fire after the break i think they will push alot of teams.
Porplycia and Fraser back in last week made a huge difference and with 4 more key position players and a couple of others due back next game smosh are looking at cracking finals.
Scotsman these were your thoughts a couple of weeks ago.

LOL.

With contradictions like those Scotsman, we'll starting calling you No mercy!

SMOSH B grade continuing to dominate. COuld be hurt by the coach leaving on a 3 week drinking tour. Heard everyone at the club is stoked he's gone.

One of his 2384658127332 assistant coaches should be able to take over.

FC, it would probally help if louis or Burrows had opponents on saturday.

Trip down to SMOSH will be interesting, not sure whats going on with ur A grade but looks like ur B's are flying! May be time to put a few A graders on notice Turbo?

B grade going very well. ALthough their coach is an absolute moron. Too busy drinking cruisers and eating pies to pay attenmtion to the game. NO mercy would probalyl coach them better!

Forba is probally more dissapointed then everyone. The bloke puts his heart and soul into the club on and off the field. Be nice to get some results for him. Unfortunatly a lot of our team have uni exams coming up so gettin exta hours on the training track is hard.

We won't roll over though, that guaranteed at least.

I love how you say that now he's not in the country.. Dead right about Forby. You can tell he puts everything in, but as I said earlier... aim for anything above 9th and SMOSH has had a good year.

Welcome back Jayne, I don't think we have heard from you since the "player payment" post pre season. It is always good to get a different opinion as this forum is Modbury saturated and I can put my hand up for that as well.

Looking ahead to this round and it looks like a season defining round with teams close on the ladder facing off......

4. Edwardstown v 5. Adelaide University- will give a good indication of where Adelaide Uni are at

2. Sacred Heart OC v 3. PHOS Camden-tough game PHOS coming off a loss up against a strong in form SHOC team

8. SMOSH West Lakes v 1. Modbury-Hawks should provail easily after an average performance against pembroke would be keen to bounce back but SMOSH will fancy themselves esspecially with 'Spiro' in the team

9. Scotch OC v 10. Pembroke OS-winner of this still has a glimer of hope to stay up

7. Payneham NU v 6. Athelstone-massive game for Athelstone if they want to stay in tough of the 5 and PNU give themselves a chance to sneak in the 5 come finals time

Yeah bloody uni exams are going to give us a couple of outs in the B grade over the next few weeks also. . . How selfish of these academic lads to put there future before Div 2 reserves football! Modburys 2's have won there last 6 out of 7 games so this week will be a huge test for em!

No mercy in regards to Pembroke shaking u up at there home ground last year i totally agree they play it well. Suprises me they havnt had a few more wins on the board considering how hard some sides find adapting to it!

This is why SMOSH and Pembroke aren't competitive. Every student can find time to train regardless of exams. No-one studies every waking hour, absolute rubbish. I've even had to change the time of two Saturday exams at $100 a pop so I don't miss football.

Rotter and Turbo 3 weeks ago I thought, yeh SMOSH could crack finals and push a few teams, but with this comp being so even relegation and playing finals is only a few wins/loses apart, after seeing PNU play I think they are the new team that could do this - if smosh had won and played like them then i would be still saying it was us. Falcon Chick a little bit modest in your analysis, thats the type of unconfident views that gets your club nowhere!! Turbo why the harsh views on the B grade coach? atleast his team is top?

Not unconfident at all, just realistic..anyone who believes that there is absolutely nothing wrong with a club losing it's first 6 games is delusional. In a clubs 2nd year of div 2 ,with the recruits we have we should have cemented a place in the 5 by now instead of fighting tooth and nail for a finals position (like we did and failed to do last year) or god forbid avoiding relegation.

Now that the boys have finally decided to play some football..here's to a much better 2nd half of the year :partyman:

Scotsman, not close to the club?

If you were/are, you would understand my views on the b grade coach! The latest I hear is he's hitching up with a texas redneck. No teeth.
