There aren't that many Saturday afternoon exams. Or are you saying that people will miss footy to prepare for exams? That is even softer.

They may be uncommon but there is a number of them scheduled this Saturday 21/6/8 @ 2pm... The question I've posed is what clubs are effected? & to what extent?

We have 2 this week and 3 the following week.

WHat a soft club we are, letting our players secure their futures when they could be playing amateur football!

(Personally I can't imagine too many clubs who would take a stance other then this. I know directly how supporting the coaching staff are of study workloads and what not, and its a great thing to have at a club)

I can't imagine any clubs taking a stance over this... A non-issue, family > work/study > footy is the order of priority for sure...

Just had a look, there are a fair few Sat. arvo exams. Uni should go back to not having them, it's rubbish.

I would accept an actual Sat arvo exam as a reason to miss a game, but surely no-one studies that hard that they would have to miss trainings/games.

Hawks may have one or two that have exams this weekend but i have to agree with most, Securing there future comes first. Plus its only one or two games, not like ur hanging up the boots for good.

Anyway back to talking footy. Rotter have most of your blokes recovered from injury since playing hawks? Also how has Timmy Bratton been going? See his brother starred again for the Sturt Magoo's

Interesting to see that phil harrison got a few of his injured players to keep some simple stats on the weekend, got me thinking do any other clubs have people that collect stats on a regular basis?? perhaps uni?? you guys bought your own chairs, massage benches and sponsor signs to modbury. It was definately a talking point on tuesday training when everyone was looking at their dream team points, with one player very embarrased with his negative effort.

Sass, I've been away for couple of weeks but from what I understand there are 4 or so players of what you'd call A grade starters not playing but in all reality most clubs have probably got a rolling 4 or 5 man inj/unav list so I'm guessing they'd be pretty happy. As I said, I'm a little out of the loop but I hear they've had some last minute signings including an ex-sturt league player whose name escapes me and also graham Kellet (ex NAFC). I also hear they've signed a bloke from West Adelaide who took the year off last year but had been playing in the league side in 04/05/06 called Westbrook. Must say I haven't heard of him but think he plays CHF/CHB. Timmy Bratton is going well, pretty important to the club on the field and off it as well, wonder how long the brother will put up with playing B's at Sturt for.

Very interesting news Rotter, Apparently we got a couple of new youngsters coming out (due to Greenacres 18's folding) that will slot straight into the 2'.

Timmy Bratton is a great lad. His brother is best mates with Vassal (best man at his wedding i believe) if Sturt keep doing him over may have to tell Vass to start gettin in his ear!

Greenies 18's folding, when did this happen? does this mean TTG have a bye this week then?

Watched Grass Roots last night and they had an interesting segment on who would play off in the 2008 GF Div 2 considerations were

Modbury v SHOC
ModvUni
Mod v PHOS
My money is on Mod V SHOC as for association medalist, I think Modbury players will rob each other of votes so the winner will come from elsewhere
