Yeah i will give you an honest appraisal.

We were ok vs Glenunga, a good second half helped a bit, especially as Glenunga started to tire. Numbers wise we were missing close to 8-9 A graders, but I still think we will be short a couple big men.

We played Fitzroy on Friday night and copped a spanking. First half was very average, we were shown up for run and toughness, better in the second half with Payney trying a few things. Numbers wise we had to borrow 2-3 from the B/C grade, and still only had 20 players for the A grade match.

Just to clarify, i know every team are missing players this time of the year, but more referring to the fact numbers have been poor all pre-season and with 2 weeks to go, we need our guys to get more committed to the cause.

Here's hoping numbers improve in the next couple weeks, wish cricket would rack off ;)

You take a lot of interest in the Mawson Lakes Masters team DJ? I'd be more worried about your mob. Uncle Charlie has been there a fair time DJ, and another year of mediocrity might see things change for perhaps the better or worst at Demon Land. I for one hope old Uncle Charlie delivers but there is no guarantees in this game.[/quote]

Looks like he has answered for me Jugs, maybe we need to borrow your cheque book instead of trying to produce juniors.

For the record Jugs, this is the first time since 1997 (when I started playing senior footy for HV) that we have spent more than 1 season in DIV 5. In those years we continually moved up and down from DIVs 5 to 7 never being able to produce consistent footy in consecutive years. So in my opinion Charlie has done an amazing job in his time as coach of HV as we are now in our 3rd year of DIV 5. Hopefully the playing group can produce another good year for Charlie and the club and keep moving forward.

After playing and coaching against HV over a number of years - Charlie is a smart coach on match days and has done a great job in developing a decent culture on and off the field. Many clubs would love to have him. End of story!

Cheque Book? Blues never had one DJ. Perhaps HV should use their Cheque Book better or risk losing Uncle Charlie.

Oh my. Stop it. You're starting to look foolish. You started with "Uncle Charlie might get the boot" and when everyone from inside Hope Valley, and a few from outside, said how successful he has been and how admired he is, now you've switched to "Uncle Charlie might quit". Wow.

Jugs, start contributing to this forum in a positive way or you'll find yourself not being able to contribute at all.

When I said stop trolling the Plympton boys, I didn't mean start on another club.

Last warning.

Anyone who gets sucked in to his trolling will also be dealt with.

Ignore it and it will eventually go away. :?

Not too bad i think. I only saw their against Blackfriars which was hard to judge as half the Agrade were on a bux show. Blacks had a few out too. Pretty confident they will be quite competitive in a very even comp.

I for one dont believe he's from Ceduna league. How could some1 from their have an agenda firstly against Plympton and now Hope Valley. I think FC you should just get rid of him now save him from the humilition.
