I'm not sure if Lockley's have ever been to Smithfield Oval. I think it's going to be a cracker of a game, I'm hoping that I can get there, Ticketek webpage is jammed.

Wanted only for his sponsorship and ability to recruit players, I'm told 2x replacement coaches were contacted and signed last year for when this happened.

Please kick this peanut off of SA Footy FC.

Everyone seems a bit too sensitive

BLFC have not released anything, so either he is still the coach or it is just laziness/amateur on their part. Nothing even on their Facebook page.

If there is no media release, then it is up to the public to fill in the gaps - this is significant place for speculation, so if there is no official word then it is fair game.

Play on!

Hi All, last night I received a phone call from the committee advising me that I am no longer the coach of Brahma Lodge Football Club. Right now I'm quite angry over this and not willing to comment further. I wish all the players the best for the remainder of the season, as I feel that they are the losers out of this, and good luck to the rest of the teams in Div 6. Thanks

This isnt the f***** AFL - there is no requirement to issue media statements

Thanks Wayne, you didn't have to do that.

Thank you for the clarification, I'm sure everyone on here appreciates your statement and hopefully respects your privacy on the matter.

Plot Thickens?

I'm not sure there is any plot here to follow. I (due to some family issues) will be spending most of my time out at Peake on the Mrs farm. There is no other reason why there is a clearance pending from Brahma. This was discussed with the coach prior to the decision made by the club and sheer coincidence it was listed on the clearance page the same day the club made there decision.

As for Knowsly being stood down, This I can not comment on, As I don't know enough about what lead up to this. I know Wayne has new employment and has a life outside of Football as we all do so has that something to do with it I seriously don't know. I do know Wayne loves coaching and I'm sure he will continue when the time is right. The club has huge expectations with the list the club has and 0-3 I guess that's where they've made there minds up.

As for his replacement I can categorically say it will not be me and I also don't know who will be the coach long term.

In closing I'm sure Wayne deserves a bit of respect no point bashing him on here, There are some huge games coming up and I'm sure its best for all that we concentrate on these games rather than a blokes lively hood.

All the best Wayne. The other stuff on here is just pure speculation. Only a few people know the real reason/situation...I just hope they can like what they see when they look in the mirror. The mirror doesn't lie.

No, there is no requirement, but if the club chooses not to make an official statement then whatever speculation occurs is fair game.

There is no need to moderate discussion on it if the club is unwilling to clarify.

Unless it is regarded as slanderous to either party.

In the age of social media making a statement is the sensible thing to do. Having been involved with the sacking of a sporting coach the shit that gets bandied about is mind boggling....

What the Brahma Lodge Football Club choose to do really has f*** all to any of, I'm sure they have their reasons to which they'll have to announce to their playing group and members.
