According to the SAAFL website Laundy is in NZ. An Taz has missed a lot of games and last I heard he was unlikely to play till late if at all.

correct. Laundy in NZ, wilson & Juniper with state team i suspect. Taz, Floreani & Dave Yeomans i think are still out.
Will certainly test the depth but Modbury like others have few good players out too.

Unfortunate that there is no bye for the state game under Div1. Well for the sides missing players it is any way.

Quite right Unicorn, we are far from full strength also so it will just test the depth of both clubs. Really looking forward to this week, SHOCs vs Modbury is always a belter.
Whats wrong with Yeomans?

Any truth to the rumours out there across PNU way that a one G. MacIntosh will be stepping out of the B grade where he has played 6 quarters in last 3 games and be playing A grade this week as it will be wet and the game will be a lot slower and easier for him to keep up? Is this a step back in promoting youth in a bid to try and stay up in div 2 or a late push by the ol 'timer to try and have a crack at finals?

Surley you'd say that was good management if a "kid" missed out for a week and winning an extra game meant staying in Div 2 and then reloading for next year.

I don't want to insult the man, but is he over rating his ability? When he played against us I thought he was a bit of a liability. I think its insulting to whoever is left out and shows that committment is less important than a "quick fix".

PNU won't/can't make the finals and they won't/can't be relegated... This being the case surely it is better to play a 17-20 yo kid exposing him to senior football for the 5-6 remaining games with a view of fast-tracking his development for season 2009... Different story if finals or relegation was an option but as neither is going to happen; build for a tilt at D2 2009...

The reason this bloke hasnt played a game this year is because he was the worst player to ever pull the boots on in an A grade side. The bloke simply could not play. His sole intention was to try and rough up players in the finals, i think he had the job on Porplycia which he did a good job in the GF but was a joke and his team refused to pass to to him even when he was open. Think the raggies new they had no hope in the GF last year cause if they thought they had a chance there surely would have been someone in the 2's with a bit of footy knowledge that could have taken this D graders spot. Think his name was steve or something.

G Heard from Scotch. An amazing man he always seems to find a way. There was a ? earlier this week wondering what miracles he will pull this year.

My ? is has a started.

A little birdy tells me that a couple of kegs may well have been donated to the EFC.

It couldnt possibly be for Scotch to win (cant say for EFC to lose )

Is it just rumor or is there another reason for the Kegs

That sounds like the G Heard we all know and love. He'd talk the leg off a chair so getting someone to "go doggo' isn't beyond his capabilities.

CC, don't tell me GX wouldn't be asking Kym for a few quid to help them stay up if they were in the same situation.
