The last paragraph mentions Brighton Members are voting on this proposal in August. No Mention of Morphetville Park.......at a minimum does this mean Division 4 clubs will have to plan a trip to the Pasty in 2017?

Good logical outcome. Well done by the league.

Gives both clubs a nice soft entry to the league with a genuine premiership opportunity in their 1st year, sounds like the Twisties are in and Brighton we will know in 2 weeks time.

awful imo..our leagues historical promotion/relegation system is changed in 3 divisions so 2 SFL clubs can come in..non member clubs getting preference over member clubs..they should have to wait until natural openings occur..

Makes the competition as a whole a lot stronger though, and in a couple of years on one will even remember one disrupted season.

Difficult pill to swallow for the grand finalists, but at does give them the next year to progress and have another crack at a flag if they can keep it together.

been a bit better this year for travel dutchy!..we have to get into div 4 before we can play them and the chances of that just got cut by 50% if we were lucky enough to even make the GF..

Agree plenty of notice as well so clubs can only have minimal complaints but at least they now head into finals and final minor round games knowing what they need to do to secure promotion or fend of relegation

From what I've seen this year in div 4 I don't think the traditional 7-9th placed SFL side would challenge for a flag over Eastern Park, WOS nor North Haven. From what I've heard the top teams in the SFL this year aren't of the standard of some of the recent premiers over the last 5-10 years.

I can understand that if you're a club in D4/D5/D6 who this could potentially affect your nose would be a little out of joint.

On the other hand, the introduction of two strong clubs into the League, will, after getting over the anomaly of their introduction, be for the benefit of the League as a whole.

This is going to seem like a pretty silly question - but where exactly is Morphy Parks located?

Closest SAAFL oval? (I'm presuming would be PHOS or Plympton?)

Edwardstown, about 1-2 km due West

PHos Camden about the same distance North.

Morphy Arms for tea after a game

Just beyond the Racecourse on Morphett Rd. Camden would be the closest club followed by Plympton

one of the potential new clubs left the league to seek glory elsewhere..like edwardstown did..now they get welcomed back with the red carpet laid out and long serving loyal member clubs get shafted! /rant_over
