I expected them to get rolled but not by that much.
It was probably the umpires fault again!

Should of come and had a look NM.
At least your used to seeing losses like this down at your club.

Long time since i saw a loss like that at my club, actually i don't think i have seen one that BIG!
Scotsman, i like to watch a game of footy so i pick out the games i think would be close & exciting to watch like Modbury v SHOC, not one sided clashes like alot of your games are, also like to watch two sides that can actually play the game!
I don't like the look of your chances staying up in Div 2 at present, that Scotch game coming up is now shaping up to be another one sided affair, Scotch's way & you know what happens when you lose that one, BOOM :Hangman: \:D/

Underestimate at your peril.

I think Sandicot is a great Coach, I agree do NOT underestimate SHOC as I still think it will be a MODBURY v SHOC Grand Final

Both teams put their best 18 on the park for the day. Both teams decemitated by the unavailability of good players - One of the best games as a spectacle IMO;not too sure about the div 1 umpires. Also pleased that Modbury didn't have a stagnant bench and PHIL tried different things (gets rid of the "pedestrian" tag)

Still a long way to go with a lot of jockeying to cement positions in the top 5
Show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser.

Some interesting results from last week IMO:

Adelaide Uni thrashing Athelstone and PHOS 127 point winners..... Did anyone watch these games. I know some discussion has been had around PHOS v SMOSH but whats the word on Adelaide Uni seeing as though they thrashed a team that beat the hawks!!!

Maybe Athelstone got a little too far ahead of itself ( cocky ) beating Modbury the week before.
After that effort ( against Uni ) i can't see them going to far, as a matter of fact i think they'll get beaten by Pembroke this week at Pembroke especially if they go into this game thinking they only have to show up to get the points.

If the 5 stays the way it is at the moment its going to make for a very even finals series. Makes finishing top 3 so much more crucial. You would think only Modbury are guaranteed a top 3 finish, the rest of the top 4 are up for grabs.
I think Scotch will do enough to stay up

Scotch pushed Townies and from what I saw of SMOSH they will beat them (subject to some big inclusions). The percentage is in their favour now and it's hard to pick up 2% at this end of the season. SCOTCH to stay up just.

Going from what i saw when we played the bottom 3 teams SMOSH are much better than Scotch and Pembroke. But if they have lost porplysia and Kluzek etc i think that brings them right back to the other 2 and will makes it tough to seperate them.

Have Uni's big recruits started playing??? are they a looming as the finals favourites????

I saw Scotch v Towns on the weekend, very even game, for a side that has been sitting 2nd to bottom for most of the year, they sure do have a tight defence.

The score was 4.4 to 4.2 at half time when I left, so to only score 8 goals to 7 for the whole match and keep Towns to a small win shows a lot for Scotch....

See Trav White got reported on the weekend... anyone see the incident? Would help Pembroke if he got a week and a loss would shut the door on Athelstone!!!!

there's really no huge recruits as in ex afl or consistent sanfl players but injuries seem to be ending and the team is starting to get used to playing with each other and the game plan. uni are a very young side so it takes some time to get used to playing men and larger bodies.
still, i've only seen the shoc v uni game as my side plays at the same time and shoc were very very good with a heap of forward targets.
always forgive your enemies...nothing annoys them so much

Thanks finn

Yeah SHOC defnately have marking targets up forward even without Juniper etc they pulled down alot of contested marks across half forward. This finals series is looking like being a cracker with all top 5 teams in with shot at the title.

Uni doing some recruiting eh? I wonder what attracted them to the club. A few sneaky player payments, or perhaps a job offer?

nick kurzel has been at uni a bit longer then the june 30 deadline, my guess is alot of his mates (ex blackfriars) are out there along with his younger brother tom, most likely the incentive there!!!
