Gunning is quality, does his best work going forward & that does attract the votes!!

Vassal missed 3

If only Guning kicked straight going forward against SHOC we would have won by 6 goals.

To tough to call, Scotch deserve to go down. I wish Pembroke were playing SMOSH in a fortnights time as i think they'd beat them, I'm a little concerned of Scotch's ability to beat SMOSH so it might be a life line to the West Lakes boys. :(
Pembroke could still cause an upset in 1 of the next 2 games. lets hope so.

Scotch don't deserve to stay in Div 2, they've had a shocker and not even GH could wave the wand and work a miracle

Having said that I think SMOSH can beat Scotch to stay up. Pembroke face Uni, PHOS & Modbury which will see 3 losses but more to the point a significant decline of their percentage.

Who will be the grand-finalists, my money is on a Modbury Vs SHOC match up...

League Medal Winner?? Burrows [PNU] or Ridley [Towns]. Any views peoples??

Burrows seems to have been playing on one leg for most of the season and has probably had a few too many quiet games (for his standard) to take out a league medal.

Good call Jayne, the style of play that Gunning is showing is the same that won him the Mail medal, dashes down the ground with one or two bounces, good foot skills and the ability to find spaces. Gunning also leaves the umpiring to umpires which is a big tick. Back at Modbury he may poll 3rd or 4th best as the coach gives other players specific rolls that when carried out, poll well at a club level.

Vassal is tough, plays tall footy and has a super boot-not in the same mould as Gunning, but together a formidable combination. Lets not kid ourselves, Modbury has a string of good players which surely explains their position on the premiership table. Maybe a vote "robbing" scenario. :(

Doesn't tend to happen that often in the Amatuers I know we have had medalists in our last 2 premiership seasons. What does tend to be different is the type of player that polls with ruckmen often going quite well. I would look to Matthew Golding to poll well.

how about the 2 lads behind Shocs huge year. Juniper and wilson, both will have to get a lot of votes. Vassel early fav.
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

Both those guys would be around the mark. Not sure how Jed goes on the lip these days. Shattock would be the other one from there.

I think Vassal or jack would be the favourites.

Few votes for Hibberd and Jolly (PNU) I would have thought too.

Full Forward don't generally get a lot of votes.

Red Dog will get PNU's votes this year

Vassal was my pick for medal but has now missed a few games. In saying that I think the Modbury boys will steal a few from each other.

Even though they haven't won too many games, I reckon Rick Champion from Scotch will poll a few votes.

That bald pain in the ass from Uni - Stratton? will do ok too..

Don't be surprised with a 2 way tie.

Yeah Modbury hasnt been carried by Vassal and Gunning. Ace Mitchel and Dazz mItchel have been great and just work tirelessly while Hensil has been great as an undersized ruckman and Richards has been tough and wins so many centre clearances.

I think its Bratton from Uni he was injured when we played them.

Yeah that's him.

Problem with the medal is that you don't need to necessarily need to be the BEST you just need to have the most consistent year and remain uninjured to a point.

PHOS beat Modbury by 4 goals. PHOS had to many targets and used the footy better. Modbury were flat as a tack and burnt the footy. Very dissapointing from the Hawks
