Simon says lets sort this hood vs bird debate once n 4 all! I know this the portland forum buts let put things straight. but i have played against both of them.bird is a fair player, but lacks polished skills he cant kick over a jam jar just like his little bro. So wats the use of being a 'ball winner' if ya cant kick. hood is a ball magnet with polish n ability 2 use the footy 2 break a game wide open in seconds. bird n hood both played at port at the same time bird played 17s n 1 yr 19s i think, whereas hood played 17s, 19s, n reserves. so i think that explains who is the better player look who went further!

reckons a few of the blokes he plays with are f**k heads

are you talking about chipper? He's a fine one to be calling blokes nasty names.. he was a little terd when I was there... but with some of the blokes they've recurited this year i'd kinda understand...

Lucky Hocking should be back from suspension by now, if he's not injured, he'd be doing some damage around the forward lines

falcon chick do you always have to be a tool (but with some of the blokes they've recurited this year i'd kinda understand...)

So basically Simon, you are saying Hood is a reciever....hmmm.....i think that might settle it then. :D
I admit my opinion is slightly bias, but i know if there was a crunch ball to won, i would back Bird everytime, against most blokes.
Wasnt surprised to see Mitcham knock off Haven either - they are a good, even-talented side.

Yeah FM, struggling at the moment with form and injuries. Para Hills were too good across all 3 grades. Really need to knuckle down after the weeks break.

shepardson on 200 a game only player payed lump some the rest are incentives to train. allegedly cockatoo collins wanted to coach them and they knocked him back because they didnt want a short term fix to their long term problem. apparantly all the money is coming from one sponsor and not the club also

Good on Rosewater, i reckon. As i have said previously, there was no way they were just going to lie down. Its made the competition even more interesting, for sure.

absolutely it has, but know a few of the blokes will be interesting to see their side next year the year after that after losing 13 players this year back to other clubs. money being a finite resource interesting to see how long people will stick about
