Did you actually hear any hierachy say they'd play Div1 finals. How convenient you don't remember the Sporstsbeat Journo apologising earlier in the year for mis-quoting Roach and Adelaide Uni's fortunes in 08.

I did actually hear it.
Now I know your talking poo but I'll go along with it. Who and where did the bold one make this prediction and how did you come to be in their presence to hear it.

Well done to the Hawks.... they came to play and turned it on when it counted a good 4 quarter effort by the lads. 10 goals the margin and could have been more.

last i heard it was extra time in the other game!!!!!

SHOC by 1 point in extra time got a goal with 30 seconds left. PHOS were 5 goal down in the 3rd.

Your right doubt it made a difference the only thing I'll say is that Thebby is "marginally" ahead of St Marys as a venue.

It should be, it was an SANFL ground recently. They play div 5 footy at Kenilworth, but there would not be many better grounds in the amateur league as a home ground.

Well there was some terrible tipping by people on this thread..... How could you back against Modbury at home!!! As i have said SHOC are the 2nd best team in the comp and are Modbury's biggest threat. Towns arnt much chop. They rely on a fat hairy old bloke up forward to kick goals who without silver service there forward line is nothing and they have a few snipers in the back lines which was highlighted by the straight red card given to some wanka for throwing a bunch behind play. Golding leads admirably but our 17 year old under sized ruckman sat on him all day and if you go inside 50 smart you take his defensive marking out of the game.

IMO SHOC will beat Towns easily and face Modbury in the big one....

I must say the best side is in the GF but Edwardstown were due to lose after 10 straight wins, my tip was based on hope only FS!
SHOC i'm not to sure about, great team but???
Edwardstown will respond this week & earn another crack at the Hawks to be then played at a neutral oval.

The way i see it SHOC have runners in the midfield and more targets up forward. If they get on top they can be hard to hold..... I must say the crowd was great at Modbury yesterday even in the rain we all stood in it and supported the lads to the end.

That win was for the club and next time they step onto the oval it will be for the players.

Towns will beat SHOC. Towns when playing well are better structured and more balanced. And putting the big bloke infront of Juniper and Taz will blunt them. SHOCs look for these two at every opportunity.

Dont think Golding can stand in front of two forwards! He's good but not that good!

Good contest yesterday, obviously could have gone either way - credit to both sides. PHOS came back really well after nearly being 5 goals down in the wet in the 3rd, but shocs to their credit challenged and fought back after being down when phos took the lead with about 5 mins to go in the 4th and 5 points down in the last few minutes of extra time.

Neutral ground is interesting NM as the last time we played the Townies at Modbury in the minor round they knocked Modbury off. That result would have given Townies hope, that result also fired Modbury up as no one likes to get beaten on their home turf.

Maybe Modbury's big win was due to the visitors change rooms not being up to scratch; funny how no one complains about them when they win-didn't happen that often hence all the complaints.

Modbury have been the better side all year HOWEVER the best side will win the Grand Final and that is still well and truely up for grabs
