Which club is allegedly throwing big money at 2brothers to join them next year? Offering is one thing, being able to pay it is another. Neither worth the $300 a game as being touted.

Major loss for Districts, massive get for Portland if true, he will tear Div 3 apart.
I wonder if there will be more heading to the thunderdome with Pearcey running the show

get on portland next year for sure. have picked up vessalli from w/croydon, prior from districts and a number of others from districts and a heap of others by the sounds. sounds like port district might be the major recruiting ground for portland and pearcey as opposed to the other way around for a change. districts to be hit hard by portland by the sounds of the districts boys at lunchtime today. almost 2 short to back them for the flag at the moment after hearing of all the ins and no losses of note except moody who goes ok but thats about all. portland odds on for the flag in november by the sounds and will fly though to d2. kolbig from n/haven, mattner from rossies as well

Caught up with Ricky ( The Steamboat ) Pearce last night & you couldn't wipe the smile off his face, he's no doubt looking forward to the season starting as Portland by the sounds of it will be around the mark once again. A big contingent of players formed at his house recently showing great faith in him, Pearce will fit in well with the Portland Power Drinkers although Portland will need to stock their fridges with more VB if they don't have any already.
Seriously Portland are a club that somehow attract players that arn't concerned about $$$$ which is a great thing but if they are to get to Div2 this club must pay more than the 10K ?? they pay to date.
Mattner from Rossies will top up their B Grade something that Portland need is depth in the Bs.

Does anyone know if Seaton have recruited & who?
They'll need a few to just be competitive next year.

With all the new guys at Portland have heard that "Seagull" McAdam might be looking elsewhere as making the A Grade looks out of the question now

you are right, seagull may be a permanent B grader, but i back him to have a big preseason and play more A grade games than B's. Hopefully Seagull can get his off-field shit in order, and stop gettin punched out at the portland ;)

although Portland have picked up a few players and what not, i wouldn't get the party streamers out just yet, and they would know that aswell....a lot needs to go right before they think about D2.

bit early for people to be calling things like this alice.
We have vessali, are talking to prior, know a few others have spoken with ricky but as far as Im aware there has been no pen to paper.

As for premierships and cups being spoken of, not even in any blokes mind at the moment. Pre season starts on the 17th, thats whats on everyones mind at the minute. Plenty of players are already doing there own thing so things are looking positive but still 10 months to go.

Just remember what happened to Para Hills last season. They were touted as flag favourites and were in the mix for relegation come towards the end of the year.
