PLEASE let's not go down that track. You heard wrong. I think you will find he is heading back to the Roosters in 2017 with a role in junior development. Super bloke and for your info he hasn't been approached by us as he has made it clear he came to have some fun in footy. He clearly enjoyed his time playing again but that's all folks.
#Neveragain

First Ive heard of that one!

Which one? He won't be at MP or he will be at NA.

He won't be at MP. Next
Only a sith deals in absolutes Yanky. Bangers is a legend and we would lucky to have him in any role, including coaching, lets not rule anything out.

Now be quiet, ignore the pelicans and let the selection committee do their thing.

Would it be a constitutional thing, Suri?

Otherwise, I'd agree with Demon Juke.

Is it bit ruff that that "B" Grade Coach is already applying at other clubs even though they haven't started finals yet?

Constitutional, all coaches were made aware of this before we put the ad out.

Makes sense. A number of clubs do it nowadays, don't they?

You could make a case to have your Reserves coach advertised at the end of every season but some clubs require all coaches to go thorough this process. I see it as poor Governance when you have volunteer Directors continually reviewing the performance of the coaching staff when they could be focusing on more important matters for the club

All it would require is a vote at a Special General Meeting and it would be done and dusted in 5 minutes.

I've seen a club go and get another reserves coach 4 games out of from the end of the season on the sly for the following year whilst still in the mix to play finals. Maybe it comes with the territory of being a coach? Not that I agree with it.

Exactly.

Constitutions can be overruled, amended and abolished, subject to the will of the majority.

It would be interesting to see if it IS actually in the constitution. Most footy clubs in the past have used a 'generic constitution' & it is common belief that the coaching advertising is in the said constitution - but it's not!

Hectorville and North Haven advertising on SAAFL website for senior coaches. Didn't Hectorville just win the Div 5 Premiership.

Is it in their constitution to advertise each year???

My understanding is that Phil Neagle was going to give up coaching at the end of this season regardless of any results. (spoke with him preseason) Getting a Premiership was just the icing on the cake for him :D
