He wasnt tagging Summerton, know this for a fact. D Bird is not a tagger. Pretty sure he had a few more possessions than that, was very good at stoppages. Though he played alot better than Hood, IMO.
This wouldnt be a case of sour grapes, would it Ouzo ? :D

Felch, if you think that Bird was very good around stoppages that is fine but he turned the ball over every single time he had to kick. I was watching him very close after the pumping up he got on here & he didnt live up to it. He might have had a bad day, is he injured? he doesnt look fit & he looked like he was tagging RJ because he seemed to follow RJ around & was running pretty close to him (even when they were behind play).

I didnt say anything about Bird's ball use, his disposal isnt his strongest asset. His stoppage work was good though, ie blocks, tackles, clearances etc. He isnt 100%, but the type of player he is, he always carries something from the previous week. His direct opponent was Summerton, but if you think Bird was/will tag someone then you are kidding. He is a ball hunter so he will follow the footy. He was manning up on Summerton at centre bounces though.
As for him being 2nd best, dont always believe everything you read boys
Westsider, Fisty not only tells porky pies, he eats them !!!

Sour grapes or not lets be totally honest and unbias.

1. Bird was beaten by summerton whether he was tagging or not
2. Bird showed that he should have been cut from Port Magpies at U19 level, because he's not that good to play any higher
3. Hood had a quiet game also
4. Every single Portland player who's been around would know that missing from Haven were: Dempsy, Woodrow, Hocking, Robinson, Zegerac and Diddy (all who played in the first round against Portland)
5. Neither team played well on the day

I dare anyone to disagree!!

Ill disagree simply cause u dared me
1-bird was not beaten in my opnion and thats trying not to be bias towards a friend
2-he wasnt cut meaning the maggies thought he was alright
3- ill agree
4-every portland person will agree, but that is just showing the lack of depth that haven's have, also in the first round againt portland, portland were missing a fair few players and were struck down to 17 half way through the last quarter.
5-neither team kicked well on the day.

outcome- havens really arent as good as they think they are.

Please dont tell me boot that you are going to blame injuries for your teams loss against the thunder. Every team has injuries princess and it is pretty weak to come on here and suggest that injuries were the reason for your loss. Bird is a gun its time you understand this. It is just a pity he hasnt got the players around him that can bring him in to a game and dominate a game like I know he can. You wont see Birds best footy in a div 4 competition.

Point 1 - borderline
Point 2 - unfair
Other points - pretty close to mark
Let me remind you though that the first time we played you we were missing Laslett, D Bird, Granleese, Bowden , McGannon - all pretty important blokes to the sides structure. You guys were near full strength, so it works both ways.

listen here SuperCgradeDudboot7 your an idiot. and a whinger to boot. you were beaten by a side that gave a better 4 quater effort. i believe in the same game last year we came from behind to beat you, perhaps haven cannot sustain any pressure for an entire game at port reserve. chew on that knackers!
