Had about 14 shots and the umps gave him a hand also on the weekend.

Yeah 63 goals must've all been from free kicks hey.

Never said that, he knows how to use the body well to hold out an opponent even when they are taller and he is quick off a lead, just saying the umps gave him a hand in a couple of shots

Big quoteTorps, we play the top 5 in the last 6 rounds. We have to beat 3 of them to make it. Not gunna happen. :)

I have to say as well a little something on the Para Hills family that have come to join ours albeit a bit late in the season, they are the most dedicated and loyal people who are all about club first. They have fitted in well and continue to contribute in all aspects of our club. First to get to training, last to leave. We had our quiz night and they filled 2 tables with family and friends. We had our 200 club night and they came in numbers again, players wives girlfriends etc. They put in a crap load more in than they take out and it's been a fantastic education for us to learn how to go up the Divs. Great people and we hope they can get their club back together next year, but you know what, if it doesn't happen you can bank on them staying at MP. ;)

Pretty sure every forward gets free kicks here and there that will be considered 'helped by the umpires'…

The facts are that the guy is 20 goals clear of the next best in the competition so if he gets a few handed to him here and there it is not going to make a difference, he is clearly the best forward in the competition... Strong overhead and knows how to use his body in a marking contest, then his best is when the ball hits the deck, can do it all..

I must say though, I thought the opponent he had on the weekend was the best opponent he has had this season, but yet he still managed a lazy 8 lol

Only kicked 3 out of 21 in a 10 goal victory on Farrell vs Mitchell Park.

Smart kept him to 2 goals earlier this year, and last year kept him to 1 after half time in Rd 1 when he went on him.

Don't think it really matters if the quality of the kicking coming into the forward line no defender will stop him

if anything the midfield from brahma lodge (ugly kicking) screw him over more then a defender would

D6 Ladder after Round 12:
23 - West Croydon
20 - Woodville South
20 - Ingle Farm
16 - Brahma Lodge
09 - Trinity OS
----------------------------------
08 - Mawson Lakes
06 - Mitchell Park
06 - Fitzroy
06 - Houghton
06 - Adelaide Lutheran

What a cracking ladder! Sets up a very interesting last third of the year, so many different battles going on - top 3, finals, relegation.. to think it's only 1 and a half games between 5th and 10th is incredible! The sides that get relegated this year could well consider themselves unlucky to not only be moved down, but have missed finals!

It'll be interesting to see how sides approach their games from here, and obviously greater interest will be played on other fixtures.. Whose going to cause what upsets? Whose going to falter at the line? Can Fitzroy and Mitchell Park continue their resurgence or will Houghton bounce back to early form?

How you lose games will prove as important as winning games - percentage is key from here..

What are peoples thoughts on this weeks games:

Fitzroy v Brahma
Houghton v Woody South
Mawson Lakes v Adelaide Lutheran
Trinity OS v Mitchell Park
West Croydon v Ingle Farm

Haha please.. Winning form is good form and MP have that.. As well as doing the double on us in the earlier legs this year..

MP favourites in both grades..

BL to smack the Roys in both games
WC to edge IF in the A's, Zartans crew to solidify top 3 with a win in the B's
Woody South to kick 7.38 to scrape a 6 goal win over HD in the A's, but kick 38.7 in the B grade (slight mayo, but I think it could get ugly)
AL to cause an upset over ML in the A's, and a win in the B's comfortably

We won by a slender margin at home with a full strength squad last time. TOS are a 10 goal better side when they play north of the equator.

This time the Grand Junction Road curse is multiplied and we have half a side. Will be battling to field a team in the magoos. The veritable Shane Lynch might even be playing!

I wish that could be the case, unfortunately the A grade game last week took its toll on players and our injury list! Looks like I'll be requiring at least half a dozen of our C grades finest to make up numbers.. Won't be pretty

That's right you didn't have Power, Nuske & Bamford last time, with some more Para Hills still to come!

We got WC, but I get what you're saying haha!

Reckon our match will be a very interesting one - you're clearly much better at home, and we seem to be limping a bit towards the end of the season when we should hopefully have players return.

Brahma easily over the Roy's, both Nelson and Avery on crutches with ankles after our game and would struggle to get up.
Woody Sth over Houghton
Mawson Lakes at home over Luthies
Trinity to avenge their loss to MP
West Croydon over the Farmers

Injuries are kicking in now to most clubs and will have a big bearing on teams chances in the last 6 games. Whoever can get their best players on the park will be in the best position.
