To be honest I didn't have any problems with the Plympton crowd on the weeked, was actually humbled to see that the supporters under the verandah clapped us off as if we were their own, I'm assuming they all were pleased with the goal bonanza that both teams put on.
Dissappointing to get the loss but there is still a long way to go this season, so hopefully the brahma lads can start the ball rolling next week vs Valleys and get our season back on track, ready for the break in 3 weeks.

Yes i believe there are a few mountains being made out of molehills on this topic. The boys behind the goals make a lot of noise, and if you ask any opposition player that may have taken a hanger in the goalsquare, or kicked a ripper goal you would just about hear the same amount of enthusiasm and cheering. The boys like to see good footy.

And they enjoy having a laugh, and quite oftem pay out on a mate from PFC who is out on the ground just as much as someone from the oppostion.

They, like most clubs died-in-the-wool supporters i would have thought, are very protective of thier players of they feel they have been hard done by, and voice thier displeasure about it. No different to anywhere else?

I don't know the exact details of any verbal abuse from someone in a club shirt to any players as I left during the A Grade, but if it did happen then thats not cool. I'd be pretty pissed if I copped it after a game, it happened to me once after an u-17 game out at woodville south and I didnt enjoy it very much.

Would like to quickly congratulate Jeremy Elvin on his 200th game on Saturday. A terrific player at the club and a great man to have around. He has seen many clubs in his time but his heart and soul now lives at woodville south and he shows in week in week out. Congratulations Jezza on a great milestone

Top bloke, who is still very well liked down at Havens.

Also received the biggest hit I have ever seen against Rosies a few years ago
I have a problem. It's to do with the little man, the squashed-in French man, the naked little squashed up hairy boy! You know! With the hand feet

Axe,l i agree with ya m8...But I must say to the north haven football club and the Rosewater umpires in the b grade were some of the best ive seen on satday, also congratz to the bgrade coach and players. It was a gr8 performance by us up to 3/4 time but the havens piled on 10-8 in the last 1/4 to blow us away. If the SAAFL told the club umpires to go to a different game do you rekon all the umpires would still continue to umpire, it is hard enough to get nthem now. Maybe all we have to do is get a few umpie delegates to come out to games where this is a lot of bad reports about the umpiring in questionh and have them watched and dealt with by the umpire coaching fraternity???

I agree with you mate, its great to have volunteers from clubs umpiring but theirs nothing worse than your club being branded CHEATS because of an umpires unsatisfactory performance.
These blokes need to dealt with by the league, theirs a few of them out there.

Given how high the association fees are compared with other leagues, you'd think the SAAFL would supply umpires. I've rarely seen club umpires used in other leagues in any grade.

I'd be interested to know how SAAFL umpires pay compares to other leagues?
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

I guess because country leagues only have to supply 10 or so umpires (or 20 if you count reserves) whereas we have to try and find 200 odd...
