The bit where we potentially lose players over this?
The bit where people outside the football community e.g my ex see this crap all over the news and suddenly jump to conclusions or formulate an opinion?
Did any of our supporters rock up looking for a fight? No
Was there any trouble before this incident at the game? No

Amazing that given all the games we play each year that the only two occasions there have been issues with supporters were when Smithfield were involved! But hey maybe i'm just posting some utter crap.

Where you there? I can tell you that most of the supporters were mingled, where i sat i had Angle Vale supporters either side, and either side of them Farmers - yet no trouble at all, no abuse back or forwards, just watched the game and supported respective sides.

So go on then Mr High and Mighty why dont you give us your take on things? No mate, it's YOU that posts some utter crap!

Saying Smithfield should be burnt to the ground is an unnecessary comment, the fight was not involving members of the Smithfield Football Club, I know of three Smithfield players that were there not wearing their club shirts were hurled abuse by Ingle Farm spectators because one of them was recognised as being a player.

I'm quite happy to discuss it with you in person as I've heard from many different angles and there seems to be a common trend in what occurred, it was very ugly, not needed in the SAAFL and hopefully a long term solution will be found.

well on a positive note, i aint driving to Angle Vale next year!!! :finga:

i doubt whether the divisions from div 2 down will get switched to 9 teams & a bye, as a-grades will still have to play c-grades in div 7 because clubs will refuse to go down to lower divisions especially after theyve just been promoted

so divvy 7 next year?...

certainties?...
adelaide uni
houghton
flinders uni
flinders parks
henley
shocs
north pines

the unknowns...
smithfield - umm well no comment lol
tea tree gully - will want to restore their D-Grade im sure
modbury - back to the big time??
smosh - surely keen for div 7 now

even bigger unknowns..
golden grove - maybe looking to evolve up?
ovingham - if they get a b-grade, will they be put in div 7?
SFL team - is this getting closer?? surely somethings on the cards

outs...
broadview - likely wanna go back to div 8?

Aren't Central United being forced to come down instead of AU?

After reading some posts in the SFL forum, there were crises meeting at Marion football club last night between club and league officials. There was talks of folding or even a merger but Maybe it could be Marion following through with their bluff from last year and moving to the SAAFL. If Adelaide Uni move to div 7 then Marion may come into div 6 or 7? Thoughts.........

personally, with houghton, north pines, flinders uni, and now central united now the surplus A-grade sides in saafl who are forced to play cgrade side in div 7....

if the saafl could offer a deal to the sfl clubs marion, cove, brighton, morphettville park, edwardstown & the other southern club on adelaide plains, offer them a deal they couldnt refuse...

we'd have a 10 team division 7 agrade sides only, then hence the birth of the c-grade super league! haha

No club from the APFL would contemplate joining the SAAFL, Virginia and Two Wells would be the only two close enough geographically but the entry fee for all of their home games plus finding junior comps and aligning the netball would be a massive logistical problem and massive financial losses.
Not to mention the feel of country football and the rivalry that the 7 clubs have with each other is massive.

Plus why the heck would either Two Wells or Virginia want to play div 7 footy?
