With TOS recording an unexpected upset, could the Lodge be feeling a touch nervous about being bundled out in straight sets this week?

I wouldn't of thought so. West Croydon look the goods, Woody Sth and Lodge just behind them I believe there is a fair gap to Trinity.

I'd expect Lodge to win and win well probably face Woody Sth again.

I think Brahma start deserved favourites in this game, but no way would I be counting out Trinity.

Sure they scraped into the 5 this season, but they lost 5x games by 2 goals or less, and drew with West Croydon - that indicates their best is competitive with the rest. Also a quick look over their side in the middle to later part of the season, it's clear they were missing key players most weeks. Saturday they looked to be pretty well full strength apart from Siciliano, Hooker and Clarke.

Winning form is good form also, and Brahma coming off the loss have every right to be nervous..

TOS have their share of tall players - Peters, Zorich x2, Cotter, O'Hara that's tough match ups.

Agreed they may not have the running power, they have some depth in the B grade that wouldn't look out of place in the 1s though, and they do still have some dangerous players in the A grade - just maybe not as much depth as BL.

i dont agree ingle farm do some weird shit in defense can understand why trinity scored goals but a better set up in defense and running power will see trinity go down by 10 goals

just dont rate trinity team at all i found them to be slow in the mid field and the talls dont really impact with the big grabs

Brahma by 48 points (Aliosi 6 Brooks 5 Dene Steel best on)
West Croydon by 23points (Will not table all their card and take the foot off late)

Is D6 next season shaping up as one of the toughest in recent times?

Elizabeth (relegated from D5)
Pulteney (relegated from D5)
Woody South / West Croydon
Brahma Lodge
Ingle Farm
Trinity OS
Fitzroy
Mawson
Houghton
Salisbury West (likely promoted from D7)

see what happens with the merger of PFC/GFC and if it happens but if PFC are standing alone in Div 6 they are going to do some heavy kms and make lots of new friends out north.. 8)

Still trying to get my head around it.. but since Pulteney are expected to be relegated, and given the two clubs to enter - if they did merge, wouldn't it mean only the premier still goes up from D6, but Mitchell Park would be spared relegation?

Elizabeth down, D6 premier up..
Adel Luth down, D7 premier up

I'd bet on a different D7

TTG and Modbury in
Unley back to 3 teams
PNU to go to D3 & D5 so their Ds can keep sandbagging

Not sure about Mitchell Park / Pooraka placements
I'd say the league would have discussions with both clubs to sort out the best fits
