Correct, Rowey has a teaching job in Pt. Lincoln next year.
Sensational footballer. High marking, goal kicking CHF, who also was one of our fittest players at the club. Best player in the comp.
A massive pick up for any team in Pt. Lincoln (i'd suggest they'd be cueing up) and an equally massive loss for AL.. on and off the park

Tha's a huge loss for you guys Catch. Rowey was the best player in Div 5 last year and the hole he leaves is a huge one to fill. He moves so well for a big man, has a great set of hands, has the ability to kick bags of goals and is very hard to match up on.
Big call saying he's the best in the comp, but definately up there in top few. Problem with division 5 is that the backline is normally the weakest area, and light on talls, would be interesting to see how he goes against a good tall defender... Any club would love to have him though!

Was scanning back at early season comments, interesting to compare ladder predictions to now!
came across chat about Miegs, for anyone interested - he made Pt Lincoln rep side, and then from there was selected in the Eyre Penins side! So yeah, still going ok!!

I think he is back in town today to play aginst Woody South again..... ;)

Jabber any word on a club suspension to go with his saafl suspension

i honestly have no idea if the club has done anything or will do anything.

Plympton won't do anything because they obviously condone how this bloke behaves on a football field. If they didn't condone it, he would have been asked to leave a long time ago...

Our club is a very proud club, yes there are players like this everywhere, but perhaps JC was right!! All he wanted to do was change this culture and stamp out this behaviour to clean our footy club up so we could push forward to higher divisions. He promoted alot of fantastic ideas and was definitely promoting our youth, unfortunately this behaviour does not show our future players the right way to go about it. If only our people would've listened to where he was heading, I know that JC would not tolerate this behaviour. Our club is doing well, but well is not good enough, we need to strive to a higher standard on and off the field for us to remotely be successful. There are still hard decisions to be made and I hope that our hirachies can make them. :-l

Good call jet airport. JC had some very good ideas for that club before the indiscretion which led to him leaving/ being sacked.
With this weather settling in for today, may bring some games closer.
I miss these conditions, used to love playing in the rain. Showed who were men n who were boys.
