there certainly wouldnt have been any "puch ups"... there wouldnt have been any punch ups either...
by the sounds of things, like players playing drunk in the A grade and arguing with each other. you guys should just worry bout your club at the moment instead trying to be a smart arse, and continually embarrass your club on here.....

Good game of footy in the B's, Lodge vs Havens. Thought we were a big chance to run over Havens, just needed some luck to go our way, but stopped about half way in the last qtr. Much better effort, 6-3 first qtr was where we lost the game, especially in a low scoring match.

Looking forward to the SW clash this week. They have proven to be one of the better sides in the reserves comp, along with Havens and Luthies, so will be a tough match for our guys. A 4 qtr effort would be nice.

The two clowns we had today obviously didn't get the memo about sling tackles (or fling tackles or whatever they're bloody called)

One of our blokes copped one, right in front of two umps on the sidelines and there wasn't even a send off, let alone a report.

Meanwhile, our player has a grade 2 AC tear which may need surgery and as of about half an hour ago still couldn't remember what happened.

Joke. :?

good win by HV. great game I thought. HV just a bit better in the setups at stoppages and a bit better entry into the forward lines once the ball was cleared across half back.

Thought the umpires were good myself. Obviously they got some things wrong but did every player hit a target? obviously not, so should not expect perfection.

didn't think much of the tackle myself, a sling and a strong tackle are two different things.
unfortunate for the injurey but we do play Australian Rules Football...unlike what we see on TV which is a hybrid game between aussie rules and netball.

Only thing wrong with tackle, was the player was allready out of bounds when he was picked up and slammed into the ground

Fair call, but when there are 3 bulldogs in division 5, it's the only way we can tell you apart

I-Score now has Hope Valley in the 5??

It looks like Brahma Lodge have had an extra point added to their AGAINST score which has dropped them from 5th to 6th.
SAAFL ladder has them on 1232, I-score has them on 1233...

Gee, want to get a bit touchy about being called red?

If we were calling you dickheads, I'd understand your sooking but we're not, so I really don't know what you're carrying on about.

It'd be like someone from essendon taking exception to being called the "baby" bombers

No its just that Rosewater have red on their jumper also, so if your having that much trouble working out who we are that you need to make up your own name for us then you may just get the red dogs confused with rosewater also.

I'm just looking out for you.

Excellent, Luthies have red socks, that might throw them into the ring to be called red dogs too.

Thanks for the heads up Jab ;)

Agreed. Shut up Jabber! The Red dogs has a good ring to it so i don't see the issue. Maybe you should change your mascot if you don't like it!

quiet riot wrote:full credit to plympton yesterday. they definately are the form side of the comp atm. they wanted the ball more than the hawks & got some easy goals after a few little errors from normally reliable players......... hopefully there will be a few handy players returning from injuries this week for the hawks & get back on the winners circle

Quiet Riot, will Barry Hall be returning this week for the Hawks??...
