The game that I think I am looking forward to Wattle is the Ovies Vs Modbury game in round 4 out at Modbury. I know that Ovies still have another 5 or 6 to come in and may be talking to another big recruit to come out this week as well

It certainly will be very competitive for spots out at Ovies with around 50 players trying to make their way into the team each week. I dont know if they will have a rotation system or not. If they dont then I just hope that they can retain the players that arent playing much for the entire year. I guess that is the drawback of being a 1 team club though

Anyone who has ever been involved with Wingfield would know that Bob was never ever going to give ANY gurnseys away, flag or no flag. There was even talk of getting the gurnseys back the night of the GF. Especially the 'A' Grade gurnseys that were given out to spectators on the day. Some of who, weren't even known to most Wingfield people.

Who were the players that recieved match payments at Wingfield last year?

And for what it is worth, I have played in 4 Premiership sides and was GIVEN 1 gurnsey by the club. It never at any stage crossed my mind to TAKE it and run. Even if it took a week or so to return the others!

As a second Ovies side finn. Maybe that could be something that Ovies and amatuer league could look at. I dont see why that couldnt work if the two could come together and work something out. Although im just throwing up a hyperthetical for discussion. I think that it is a valid point that may get a few people talking.

Anyone else have any views on this?

Seems to me Hawseye that you are on the ball with this comment. Maybe Wattle is thinking this won't happen, it shows how they think down there, great start, 2 from 2 but we are a long way from September.

Past history does not change nor lie, only the people who make both happen can do that.

Also believe the rot has started to set in. The Chairman has gone plus another, seems the Wingfield connection is settling in for another tilt at mass destruction :o :(

I see that average is shrinking, from 100% to 50% in 2 games, could be trouble in store if you don't come good in a hurry, the coach wouldn't know how to handle losing, I seem to remember him bragging about being undefeated in his last couple of jobs. Must be a strange and unknown feeling for him, poor bloke :( :(
