It might be safe to say that we will probably find PHOS a little too strong - i dont know why i think this, just a feeling i have
In all seriousness though, it will be a good experience for some of the guys. I reckon its a better option than playing a lower grade club and its definately better than an internal. Should be good. The Heffinator is playing, reckons he has the wood on those PHOS guys  Are you guys playing anyone this weekend ?

Surely it will be a white wash... Why would PHOS agree to a trial against a Div 4 team?

Is that Mark Heffernan from Gepps Cross?

Yeah mate agree with you it will be valuable experience for your pups. Heffs kidding himself played one good game against them and claimed he was a superstar. Tell him good players back it up. He will dominate div 4 though. What time are you going to the footy 2nite i might meet you there. We are playing barossa districts at lyndoch tough road trip first up.

We ended up with a double booked trial and the potential opposition chose the other game.

Geez W A T, what makes you say that ?
I think you will find both clubs were at a loose end this weekend, it was a last minute thing. Like i said previously, its better than an internal trial. I dont see how its any different than Portland agreeing to a trial against a D6 side. When it all boils down, the result is irrelevant - players just need the run. As long as both sides get something out of it, then all is good.
It is Mark Heffernan from Gepps too.

Portland must have thrown some good money at him, to get him from Gepps Cross. I saw them play a few times last year and he played some good footy with them.

Heffs a Portland boy, born and bred, so it didnt take much to get him back. Will be a big asset this year.
Heading down to Haven about 7 oclock Newman. Fester and Pete W are heading down too. See ya there.

Thats interesting about Rosies, Bradman. Surely they cant go on with those numbers, not with two teams to field.

may have started with more but i saw 11
tuesday night was even worse with only 8 for whole night

apparently they have trial against golden grove tommorow
have 30 players listed for both grades (so would think 22 will turn up)
might be long day for few players after 8 quarters

Rosewater's one of those clubs that always manages to pull players in though isn't it? Whether they're quality players/individuals....
