Will the scoreboard be re-named the John-boy memorial scoreboard now?

I personally have not heard anything in that regard and to be honest it hadn't crossed my mind to date. If I find its not on the Committee's Agenda for the next meeting, I will put forward the notion at tomorrow's game. Good point FC... TY :-BD

Johnny's already covered on the scoreboard isn't he? Good send off today for the great man, and was good to catch up with so many mates again. Look forward to doing so again under happier circumstances.

I thought it was natural progression to add "memorial" once the person passed on? although not sure how it works if something was named after a person before they died.

Here's the thing....Ourselves and the Henley & Grange Baseball Club are "tenants" as such at West Lakes Shore Oval. It's the West Lakes Sports and Social Club that actually governs the Council owned property which includes the Scoreboard. Consequently I would think, we are not in a position to make an arbitrary decision to alter anything without a formal sanction to do so.... Anyway....it's been bought to our committee members attention to see what the protocols are in regard to altering the wording in these circumstances and then decide a course of action.....

Been shocked by Modbury's start to the year, a few of the guys who were their best last year (Stanton, Davey, Geer) haven't played and they have had big results? Have they recruited, just played well and there isn't that much difference between Div 2 and 3?

I think top 3 will be scotch, Paoc, gaza. bottom 3 be walkies, mitcham and smosh. will be interesting to see which teams ramp up the recruiting as some really need too.

Think you under-estimate Walkerville mate. Think you'll find they will do alright this year.

@Bombers4EVA....whats going on at Walkerville??

Was very impressed with them against us last week. Good fast ball movement, solid back line. Think you will be around the mark all year. Early days yet but comp looks as though is going to be very good this season

How old is White now?

He seemed old in the 2002 flag, and that was obviously a while ago ...

Still early days Jetters

I didn't see the A grade game this week, I was playing in the Cs down at Henley, so I cant comment much on this game. Against PAOC in Rd 1 our skills weren't up to scratch but the score line from Saturday shows that Modbury were a class above us on the day. We still have some A graders out through injuries and suspension so it'll be good to have them back soon.

We started 0-4 last year and finished up missing the finals by only 2% so a lot can change throughout the course of a season. Big game this weekend against Broadies, I'm really looking forward to it as we continue our ANZAC day clashes against the Tigers with a triple header at Walkerville Oval.

Hi Suri,
How did you pull up after the game? I felt pretty sore as the old legs aren't used to the conditions we played in on Saturday. Thought we played quite well apart from the first quarter.

Don't think there is any mate. Didn't expect to play in this weather this early in the season. Are we playing under lights this Sat?
