I don't know much about CLG but there was some early talk that they should be playing off in a GF this year. I reckon Para Hills and Elizabeth will be top 3 and Greenacres will be around the mark with the recruits they have picked up.

Hoping I have a bye when Elizabeth v Greenacres cos I wouldn't mind having a look at that game.

From what I saw last year I couldn't believe that CLG didn't play off in the GF but as we all know finals are a different blend of footy all together. That Harvey was the best player in Div 5 by a country mile last year and if he's fit and with a few extra pick ups they will be a massive force and would be my tip.

how many of those would be pushing to play in the A's beefy?

i rekon only three of ours would be classed as genuine A graders, but i spose its always hard to tell just based on training form.

Woody sth only have 7 out and three in (not counting juniors) Not any great mutiny at this stage but i spose time will tell

Clifford to Gaza is a big loss

Probably might not play that much as opposed to assistant to Bob Cross.

how many of the 14 out from Elizabeth (including the 8 all off to Angle Vale) wouldve been A graders last year? Looks like they have replaced them with a few but still 14 blokes is a lot to lose in the off season.

Elizabeth's C Grade coach took the Angle Vale B Grade job so I would assume most would be C graders following.

ahh yep, makes sense. Rosewaters list of in's is an intimadating length. Blackfriars pick ups look handy, anyone who has played A grade in the BLG will likely go pretty well in div 5. Havent heard too many positive things out of Pultney on the recruiting front, CBC quiet but you would suggest would still be competitive, Elizabeth look to be strong. Para Hills challenging Brahma Lodge for length of ins :P Still not sure about Greenacres or Luthies but woody sth look like they could be in for a long year if Clifford takes a few with him to Gaza.

so concludes BFG's Recruiting roundup. :)

Certainly not positive news anyway.....A Grade fullback of the past couple of years has had a Brain tumour removed over summer :(

Kids will be better for the run and could they pull off a move to get Jessie Aish to play around his Norwood 2's coaching commitments??

Echunga FC has him doing their junior development program & I thought he was staying put to help defend their title.

certainly seems like they've opened up the chequebook. Seeing the gap between div 6 and 5 isnt that high you'd assume that they would finish top 2. gonna be really tight at the top this year though with elizabeth, para hills, rosies and hopefully CLG all battling it out. Not saying that no one else will not be around the mark but at this early stage of the season it looks like these 4 would be early faves.

In saying that, teams like BOS and CBOC are always strong and around the mark, greenacres are a bit of an unknown at this stage as are woody sth and pultney. Good luck to anyone trying to pick where everyone will finish come seasons end.
