to call salis west feral would be a understatment, there fans and players are just feral as you get.. 2 players told me they will be waiting for behind the changerooms after the game to beat me up and wouldnt shake my hand. one player pushed one of our players while shaking his hand by the way the guy kicked 6 (alosi). more death threats thrown at me from the supporters when a came off for a blood rule and laughing.. end of the day it was a great win we were first to the footy and all they wanted to do was clobber us..![]()

The Dark Knight wrote:A very frustrating day for us yesterday with a loss for the B's in a close game and a draw in the A's in some chaotic circumstances.
In the B's it was a very good contest. It was close all game and the lead changed several times, unfortunately for us Plympton was in front when it mattered and were able to hold on. We played well in patches and some of our passages of play looked great but some bad decision making, terrible skill errors and breaking down accross half forward hurt us very badly. Plymptons midfield was the main differance though, they smashed our boys at the clearances.
In the A's despite the umpiring all in all it was a great game. Our boys started really well and got the jump on Plympton early in the 1st but eventually the became more even as both teams traded goal for goal. Our boys being down at 3 quarter time threw everthing at Plympton in the last as did they, neither team took a backward step and never gave up and played out a fitting draw.
Then everything went in to chaos as the time keeper, goal umpire and match officals had to work out what the result actually was. First they had Plympton up a point, the scoreboard showed a draw, the Plympton boys celebrated and our boys took it as a loss and walked off. As the chaos continued, they finally came up with a draw and the result stood.
The umpiring, which has been and will be touched on by various party in the coming days, was very woeful. They over umpired the game, they need to let it go a bit more, were not playing AFL footy where everyone is watching your every move. Some of the decisions were absolutely mind blowing and some of the reasons the boys got yellow cards for were incomprehensible. A free kick? fair enough, a yellow card? Definetely not.
There was two really bad ones, Davis being pretty much hand picked from a group of players, yellow carded and sent off for who knows what and the worst one IMO, Duerden getting sent off for nearly chasing down a Plympton disposing of the ball and making contact to the player which was inavoidable. It wasn't dangerous, the Plympton player didn't even fall over. That did not in anyway warrant a yellow card and a sent off.
The only thing we can do is forget about the chaotic circumstances of yesterday and move on to Woodville South next week. I hope that both grades can bounce back and get back on the winners list.

just a quick query, how is the scoreboard have us as a draw, then the timekeeper and officials have plympton for a 1 point win.
how did the come up with the draw bein a result? surely you'd go by the official before a scoreboard attentand.
im not accusing anyone, im just curious how they came to the result which transpired.

We have young kids doing the scoreboard and sometimes they accidently miss a behind by mistake. I don't really know mate, things were very chaotic, there was heaps of arguing and discussion as all the officals and timekeeper tried to workout the result, to which they agreed the game was a draw.
