I don't see the point in making official complaints - the reson that official complaints don't work anymore is because clubs have abused the process, everytime they think an umpire is rubbish they make a complaint, every time they think an umpire costs them the match they make a complaint. Complaint, complaint, complaint! It would be hard to sort out the trash from the actual facts.
I think people need to be a bit mature about things. There's a lot of whinging about umpires. How about you just suck it up and move on to the next contest. Sometimes you get the rub of the green, sometimes you don't. But throwing tanties like school kids about how bad the umpiring was, and how its made players who've played however many games contemplate retirement??? I mean please!
Umpires don't deliberately go out there and say "you know what, I'm going to pay some of the worst decisions today".
But if it gets that bad for you that its ruined your whole week or your month, I don't know, maybe ruined your whole life by the way that some people carry on like pork chops, maybe retirement is probably for you.
