Plympton/smithfield have been the only teams in Div 5 over the past few years that havent spent stupid amounts of money and have always been around the mark only just missed out at the end

Yeah what an uneducated dumbass comment!

the comment was not targeted at anyone only to say the teams that have spent on players have done well. So for you to say what an uneducated dumbass comment is one saying you might be feeling a little guilty on what i said, and two you made the uneducated dumbass comment with your response there champ

Bulldog unless you're the one signing cheques and handing over cash you honestly would have no idea. I am assuming you have not been directly involved with Plympton for a few years so that would make it uneducated. Also you have no idea on what other clubs pay their players..... that also makes your comment uneducated.
You clearly said that the ONLY teams in div 5 in recent years that have not thrown around stupid coin are Plympton and Smithfield, that leaves 15 + clubs who have. It's very easy to see that many clubs would see that as a dumbass comment.
Take your rose coloured glasses of champ, most would know posting that would stir people up from rival clubs. I for one could not give a rats, but I can see why people do.

for a starters you dont know me from a bar of soap. For your info i know alot of players and officals invloved in the clubs that have been in DIV 5 for a reason i dont wish to tell you. So before you have a dig get your facts straight. I think you and all are reading between the lines. The first post that i responded for the comment i made was 'plympton would struggle this season". I then said i dont think so and plympton and smithfield have been around the mark for the past few years and the teams that 'have' gone up have put some money into to it.

Doesn't mean you know every clubs finances mate. One or 2 people at each club know the TRUE amounts handed out each week not officials spread out through the club.
Also I do know who you are (Not personally) as you have not hidden your identity in the past and i'm not disputing you were replying to another comment. Perhaps you could have worded it better initially. Not starting a war just my opinion.

Yeah money is a touchy subject. Every 4-5 weeks on each forum you get an idiot (Mostly new posters) who hear something on the sidelines and decide to come on here and devulge their "Relaible sources". These penuts are no better than the St.Kilda school girl and don't understand that others have the same passion for their respective clubs as they do.
Who is saying paying players is wrong anyway?? Have these people ever taken money on the side with out declaring it to the tax department??
It's been happening since the 2nd world war (according to an amateur league documentary) and it's a pathetic argument. Very judgmental and i'll put my left one on it that 90% of people who bag money players were never good enough to chase money them selves.
You can't tell me that if you had the talent and some bloke came up to you and said "Here is $200 a week minimum" you would never seriously consider it.

=D> Spot on LK. I think peoples problem with paying players its that it has the tendency to upset team dynamics...but certainly if your club has coin and wants to climb divisions beyond probably div 5, you need to look at investing into better players with the hope they are at your club for the right reasons in helping your club progress

I made this point on div 7 forum, that the only people that know who gets what are the coach and the person putting it i the envolope and obviously the person who does the clubs contract negotiations. I know this because my dad has coached A grade before. Its all blown out of proportion due to people guessing amounts being thrown around!

Ive been reading what has been going on for enough now. I dont think anyone really cares anymore about all this crap. Can people just talk footy not speculating true or untrue about the amount of money clubs are spending. At the end of the day your football should do all the talking.
Footy isnt all about the money, its about loyalty and if clubs are willing to spend x amount of money on players and it fails then thats the clubs loss.
Now when do people start training again. Think Woodys may start tomorrow night again.
