This is where they went, well, off the top of my head.
Denenglese: Virginia
James: Virginia
Kerr: Virginia
Russel: Virginia
S.Taylor: Elizabeth
M.Taylor: Elizabeth
Vawser: Elizabeth**
Bateson: Elizabeth**
Abdulla: Cent. Utd
Stewart: Cent. Utd
Blockley: Angle Vale
Mathews: Angle Vale
D.Nisbet: Angle Vale
Newman: Brahma Lodge
Haydon: Salisbury North**
T.Duffy: Eastern Park**

**denotes fringe A graders

Obviously there are more, quite a few haven't played at all this season and some have played one or two games for Smithfield this season. Out of their current usual list, I'd say 3 to 5 of them would play A's, there's a further half a dozen part-timers that would aswell.

Trust a giraffe to pick up on it ;)

LM i drove past Smithfield Oval today - ground was looking in bloody good nick - and got me thinking if moves are afoot to get back into Div 7 - two/three teams etc? How has it been this year?

Ground is sensational atm, it will be great for cricket, yes, there is very likely to be a bid for div. 7 next season, they have at least 10 missing out each week on top of the 25 that get named, there's been many players indicating a return in 2012 if they go to div. 7 and they advertised for coaches in the Sunday Mail last week.
This season, despite only winning one game in a row in C1's, they've had a great year financially, there's no beer-snogging going on which has hurt them in the past, they have a great social playing group, a good supporter base and it's been a very pleasant place to pop in for a feed and a bevvie this year, being their centenary year next season the committee is doing all they can to ensure they give it the best opportunity to be successful on and off the field, the committee has been the most pro-active and involved one I've seen there for some time and it shows.

That all sounds positive mate... No one likes seeing clubs in doldrums, as most are potentially one season away of being in the same position.. Re cricket there - she looks a 1 or 4 type of ground, not too many 3's id hope!!

The c grade coach is playing coach so a coach on the sidelines was needed, and wanted for the year. The sacked a grade coach did so for the betterment of the club.

The lockleys committee has now stood him down from any involvement from all the grades. 1 team club next year?

Sister club to the Melbourne Demons?

L Hann: Hope Valley
J Hunter: Angle Vale
D Hunter: Angle Vale

I wasn't referring to the B's. But well done to NH. Wanted it very bad today. And also, anyone who says Eagles shouldn't be in the team of the year has rocks in their head.

Well done to Rolla and the lads at Havens on making the finals after getting a lifeline from the depths of Divvy 6, many would of thought they would struggle again and go straight back down.

Rolla was great today as were all the lads, best win of year for the A grade IMO. The boys bounced back well after last week, their attack on the ball and body was great and their disipline was very good.

So.... SW, WC, Plymp and NH are definitely in the finals, along with the winner of HV and WS.
You would thnk BL will beat Locks, so Rosewater or Adel Luth to be relegated.
roseis play WC, Al play NH.

The loser out of HV and WS could still be relegated if BL, AL and RW all get up! We could finish as high as fourth or be in div 6. Unbelievable!
