And reported by the opposing club. They may aswell have gone out and umpired the whole game.

We could go backwards and forwards with this one all day. The end result is he will say bye bye to his football career in the SAAFL, he performed one of the lowest acts on a football field not once, not twice, but three times and you want to defend his actions
It is good to see the SAAFL take a stance on this type of behaviour, it should not be tolerated at all. He deserves everything he gets and no doubt would be very remorseful for his actions as he will now miss out on what could be a successful finals campaign for WC.

I havent defended his actions once, i dont like what he did. My point is (again) The umps missed it like they miss alot of other things in any game and it should have been left at that.

You are right, you havent defended his actions... you have voiced your opinion on the matter which you are entitled to do. BL had his actions investigated (which they have every right to) and they were, and the penalty was handed out after he was found guilty.

So just because the umps missed this bloke spitting on people three times, it should be swept under the rug?
I don't think so! Absolute disgrace.

Nope the final 5 is set in the magoos. Luthies, Sals. West, Woody South, North Haven and Hope Valley round out the 5.

So if I sneak up behind someone and shoot them, but the police don't see it, then I can get off scott free?

Please. It's obvious he did it - even you said it. People like you make thugs job's easier in the lower grades. If the umps aren't looking the hit someone!

So did anyone else get reported from the incident. Or was it just 1 person in the wrong and he went to far. Find it hard to believe the person was not provoked??
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

Please note that this comment only refers to the spitting incident and does not include the elbow to the head.

Demonseye for your credibility sake please stop posting about this. The fact that the umpires didn't see it, is irrelevant. The bloke has been found guilty of spitting on more than one opposition player. This has been verified by members of West Croydon.
Along with king hits and racial abuse, spitting on someone is the lowest act you can do on the footy field and he deserves what he got.
They are straight to their word, they don't talk a lot of smoke and mirrors behind windows.

He was involved in a scuffle with 1 player. 2 other players from WC came over to seperate it and 1 from BL. The pushing and showing as all sorted. Mr Cox then decided to run past our captain and elbow him in the face. Ball would have been 100 meters away. This then got a reaction from the BL players who went in and remonstrated with him. Exactly as demoneye would have wanted. Still no punches throw (besides his elbow which he pleaded guilty to last night). This is when he decided that spitting was the way to get a reaction or keep the fight going. From this a full melée of 30 players took place with the usual jumper pulling and pushing stuff.

How do I know all this well, let's just say I was pretty close to the first initial push and shove.

You couldn't of been that close Because for a start your captain ran up to coxy from behind and grabbed him that's when he elbowed him coxy just got in first and you must have forgotten about the player spitting on us as we walked into the change rooms after the game nobody has mentioned that have they no of course not

I say I was pretty close when I am the guy from BL who he tried to punch. The only reason the captain grabbed him to seperate us. He actually elbowed our captain about 20 seconds after our scuffle and our captain had asked if he was looking for a new club next week. So it wasn't a case of him getting in first but a elbow behind play.

I know nothing about anybody spitting from our club. Provide details and I will follow it up.

Ok, this is just going to end in a bitch fight, we've all had our say ;) .

Just in closing -I really don't think that this reflects badly on the West Croydon club as a whole, I think we've all made comment at some stage how impressed we've been with their hospitality this year.

It's just unfortunate that one bloke (who has played about half a dozen games for you) has done the wrong thing... and he's definitely not the be all and end all of your finals campaign by any means...

so let's leave it as that kids...play on!

Woodville South will win the B grade flag....!!!

I like your thinking mate. We have a few to return hopefully this week or 1st week of finals. The only side we haven't beaten in the top 5 is SW. All the other bar HV "as we play them sat" we have won and lost. Having been apart of last years finals campaign D4, and not tasted success, the B's are keen to be a major force in the finals.
If the A grade don't win on sat "but i hope they do", then we could welcome back 3 or 4 players.
Its going to be a big finals campaign for the B's and hopefully we can give it a shake and go the distance, but we will just take it one week at a time. With the way the A grade ladder is going, the B's could be "well hopefully" SW @ West Croyden.
But the main focus is HV this weekend for the entire club.
For the A grade it's just win, doesn't matter how! B's its get back into winning form and consolidate the double chance. C grade are in the same boat as the A's.
Its been a very longtime since the A's or C's have tasted finals, the B's made the elimination final but got bundled out.
