Woodville South has been a up and down club for many years.Started in the SAAFL in 1979 in A4 hit A1 in the late eighties, dropped down to A5 in 1995,hit A1 again in 2005 and obvisiouly down to A6 for the first time in its history in 2011.We are a proud club and im sure we can climb the grades again as we have done in the past.

Has there been any falling out at Woody South since Saturday. I too have never seen an 8-10 club relegated

You would think bomber should do it again, very unlucky to go down to div 6. There "b" & "c" grade made the finals and have a good under 16's team I was told. Maybe they wii fast track some of that talent in the next couple of years. They where a lot closer than the score indicated on the weekend, the only differance was the goal kicking. We coverted our goals and woodville south didn't.

I've heard the council are looking at Rosewater to take over the lease at Alberton Oval as they draw bigger crowds than the current tenants ...

Farbs/DJ/Footy Chick,

just wondering if we can get a pitch report thanks. Cant imagine your oval would be handling all the rain we have had too well.

Looks like it will be a dry day Saturday, but would still think the ground will be wet and boggy.

If you have a look at the Div 2 forum, our ground is in the best condition out of TTG, GG and Modbury.

Thats not saying much though...

Hope this helped ;)

Just keeping things close to your chest Ash Man.

I don't think it will surprise anyone if the team that wins on Saturday only kicks 4 or 5 goals.

It will be a slog.

Could well be a slog after the amount of rain we had last night...looking forward to a good contest in both grades.
I'm proud of you fellas. You all kept your head on a swivel, and that's what you gotta do when you find yourself in a vicious cock fight!

So based on Farbs indepth information on the ground it would be safe to say Hope Valley Oval was in better condition than the submerged TTG oval.
Slightly submerged?

There may be a bit of water on the surface in places, will just depend on how much more rain we get, how much wind and how much sunshine :)

I'd rather a bit of water than pot holes though ;)

I'd like to give you a more indepth assessment Chump but i'd probably get criticised by other HV people for not having been on the oval for some time and so not really sure what its like! :D
