Instead of....?

Honestly LB, probably you blokes. Across the year i thought plympton were the better side than WOS. But i did say that you were the smokey that year and you proved me correct.

True. Didnt see you play in 08 but 08-09 were lost chances by all reports. Like you said though, all in the past.

2009 they lost the 2nd Semi in a hard slog on Morgan Oval in the wet by less than a kick. The next week were out run by Westminster on the vast expenses of St Marys. If the Semi was a dry day it could have been a different story.

I'm obviously gonna completely disagree on that. I think you're memory of it is slanted.

We started the season slow due to finding our feet in a higher div without playing any trials, but if you look at our results through the second half of the year (including games against your boys and Plympton on your home decks), we were flying.

No doubt LB, but im talking across the 18 rounds. You blokes did come home with a wet sail and did deserve promotion.

Plympton were solid across the 18 rounds, finished 2nd, beat WOS comfortably in the QF, were all over pulteney in the first quarter and a half of the semi before pulteney snuck home in the wet (granted yes i didnt see the 2nd half of that game) before WOS smashed them in the prelim.

Dont get me wrong LB, at the end of rnd 18 I considered WOS a genuine chance for promotion and was proven correct. I just think also that plympton, as good as they were across the year can consider themselves unlucky they didnt get promoted and they will rue that as a missed opportunity.

But as they proved that year and Brahma did last year, if you dont bring your A game when it counts, it matters for little.

Worst.conditions.ever.

We played in the game before hand and to say it was shitehouse is an understatement.

In fact, we played Pulteney on Anzac day that year too and it was some of the most horrific conditions I've played in, our marquee blew away, not after landing on my shoulder and hurting it. :(

Our game against pulteney that year too was horrendous one of the biggest bogs I've played on

Well, I don't want to turn this into a 2009 Div 5 forum, so we'll have to agree to disagree. I still maintain that San Diego means a whale's v@gina.

I distinctly read that you typed in Red Bulldogs, not Red Dogs. We're at least destinguishing the breed of animal. Red Dogs might as well be the name of a hotdog manufacturer.

Maybe they all read the footy budget and have been brain washed.

I would think that the only ones getting confused are the people we're not all that worried about.

Give me a Spray Can of red paint, and a $2000 voucher for a pet store and i'll show you a red bulldog.

have you ever seen a Dragon, a Demon, who or what is a raggie, or a bloke with red legs for that matter (apart from sunburn)?
