I can't foresee that going to a ground that doesn't have the D5 reserves playing on the same ground as the D5 senior game is going to adversely affect my life all that much. I've been told on previous occasions that I have a cold heart, maybe this is just another one of those times. Maybe I should broaden my horizons and really look at the big picture... carbon tax, saving the rainforests, world hunger, and now i can add no D5res game before the D5 game to that list of really important issues of the world we live in.

Yes

I find that hard to believe, also heard the A grade coach got a fair pay rise. Was the B grade coach moved on to fit in the new B grade coach from eastern park and help pay for the pay rise? Feel very sorry for the ex B grade coach

Why do you find it hard too beleive?
No pay rise for the A grade coach who was re-appointed.
Yes if I wish to keep coaching I will have to move on. So I guess you can say I have been moved on so the new B grade coach could take over.

Well 4th last this year thru injuries still better than A grade and 4th the year before and a great relationship with the players woudnt give them any reason to move u on.
I think you have been moved aside to fit in another A grade player to fit in and aslo coach from Eastern park

We finished 3rd last year, knocked out in the prelim first time the clubs B grade had got that far for a long time. This year was tough with injuries as you said but we tried our best. Very disappointed to not be reappointed but hopefully as one door closes another one opens.

Did they at least allow you to apply for the position again? Or just plonk the outsider in? How's that for loyalty?

Although I'm a fan of it because I can watch our C grade play and then watch Salisbury West v Plympton in the A grade, I'm with QR on this one. I am confused as to why the D5R GF is being played before the D5 GF.

On a side note, where was the C5 GF last season and was it played after the C6 GF at the same ground?

it was played at gepps cross's oval at 230pm, no game prior.. it was played there because so our b grade could come after their game... we wanted a triple header, before our b's bt lutheran didnt want a bar of it... i personally didnt care all thaat much, especially when we won.

Once the A grade coaching position was finalised I was told I would need to be reinterviewed for the b grade job along with 2 others that had showed interest in the position. The club made their decision from there.

The club allowed him to put forward an application, on the A grade side of things the coach was re-appointed with a revised offer from previous years. Be it more or less it should not concern others as this is information for himself and those who appointed him.
I myself am saddened to see the B grade coach not be re-appointed, as he is a great club person and one of the most loyal people I have met, however he does have a job that he wants to do and I personally wish him the best in his pursuit of gaining a position where needed as he will make any club he goes to a better place for just having him around, as he has done to ours.

Had you been spoken to about next season before the A grade coach was re appointed. To me and i may be wrong but sounds like once the A grade coach was reappointed, things may have changed with your job. All i hear is how loyal you are to the club and how the players love playing under you and like you said, making finals and achieving things the B grade haven't in the past then not be reappointed is crap. I hope that Eastern Park Mark 2 realize the bed they are making.

If someone said to me at the start of the season "i'm going to offer you the chance to play in a GF right now, for your club, but the only catch is you have to play it at Port Augusta at 3am on a wednesday" who wouldn't take that??? So why all this carry on (pork chop like) about where the games are and what time they are?? Big deal! Some people just need something to whinge about or they aren't happy.

I tell you what, there are a lotta lotta people that walk through the doors at footy clubs that never ever ever get a chance to play in a GF, and some of them would be the most deserving on earth to win a flag, but they don't get the opportunity. They would play the game on the moon if they had to.

Put it all back into perspective, grow up, and stop whinging about shit that means **** all.

I know something is wrong when I am agreeing with you Jabber but you're right I would take a GF anywhere anytime and the game that's played before hand would matter even less. That being said, playing a GF at Hope Valley wouldn't be my dream choice as im sure North Haven wouldn't be many people's choice either.

Would rather play at Hope Valley, instead of playing at your ground mate. Next time we play there might take my golf clubs, plenty of bunkers on the oval to practice with.

You Hope Valley boys are a sensitive lot aren't you. Like I said I would play a GF anywhere but Hope Valley wouldn't be my dream location which is due to the fact that it has no centre of the ground proven by the final we played in perfect conditions that was a muddy slog. I also stated that North Haven would not be a good choice either as it has a hard uneven surface.

Now please don't take any of this personally I have nothing against Hope Valley, you're a good bunch of lads and seem like a pretty good club.
I have a problem. It's to do with the little man, the squashed-in French man, the naked little squashed up hairy boy! You know! With the hand feet
