Geez, the first week of D3 finals will be a logistical nightmare for a few.

A grade qualifying: Athelstone v Old Iggies
2R qualifying: Iggies v Golden Grove

A grade elimination: Golden Grove v Pembroke OS
2R elimination: Athelstone v Flinders Park

Who is essentially going to lose out here and be split up? Old Iggies or Golden Grove.

Athelstone are highest finishers so assuming the 2R elimination final will be played there.

Old Iggies will be split up, Athelstone and GG will get both teams at home.

If Pembroke OS train/play at Haslam Oval at the school, then who trains/plays at Kensington Park Reserve across the road?

That's what I suspected. A magnificent playing surface at Kensington.

I didn't place in any event at the 1984 State U/10 Age championship at Kensington and back then you didn't get trophies for participation. No wonder I'm so messed up.

Now that the seasons all done what do we think the Div 3 TOY would be?

Mines a little biased

F Lister (mithcam) Evans (Pembroke) Sykes (Athelston)

HF Blair (GG) Pendlington (GG) Kastrappi (Plympton)

C Jacquier (PHOS) Sheedy, Jade (Athel) Morris (GG)

HB Allen (Athel) Ingram (GG) Pressler (GG)

B (No idea about FB line)

Ruck : Petersen (GG)
Rover: Connors (Pembroke)
R/Rover : Bergsma (PHOS)

Bench
1. Harris (Seaton)
2. Vanderhaak (Plympton)
3. ?

Didn't Vanders spend some time in the 2's this year? I haven't followed that closely...

Probably a couple of Iggies guys you could stick in there whose names escape me at the minute

Yeah he might of, just going by when he played us a couple of weeks ago.

Hard with Iggies, no real stand outs just a really good team

Justin Sheedy would be a Lock at Half Back or on Ball.

Geez there are a lot of Golden Grove guys in there for a team that is making up the numbers in the finals. They definitely didn't have any stand outs from the 2 times I saw them during the year.

The big unit from Seaton was definitely the best ruckman going around.

Justin Sheedy was definitely the more influential of the Sheedy brothers on field as well.

A few blokes who were pretty good against us both times Downey the ruckman from Plympton Gates the fullback at Seaton and Iggies wingman Fulton who just keeps finding the footy. Roy Sheedy probably ahead of his brother.

I'll admit you touched us up both games this year but that's a pretty chirpy statement considering we (when taking into account the true result of our first game) won the same number of games as you.

You guys making up numbers as well? Entitled to your opinion of course.

I'd suggest we are all making up numbers with how good Phos are but that's another conversation.

Yep. Just a cheeky chirp...

I know PHOS have lost one game all year but we lost to them by a combined total of 4 goals across 2 games. They are a well organised outfit and are well deserved favourites but they are definitely beatable.
