Honestly, super happy with getting Payne onboard, and I'm confident he is exactly what the club needs right now - whether that translates to instant on field success or not - well let's be serious a coach is only one piece of the puzzle, there is a shit load of work to be done.. and Farmers are coming from a long way back with poor on field results last two seasons.

I want long term sustainability and success.. I want kids coming through Jnr ranks and playing A grade footy at the club.. I want depth across all senior grades and enjoy wins.. I want to see Ingle Farm in a higher division than D7 and D6 and remain competitive - not yo-yo between divs.

A man can dream.. but they say a poor man isn't a man without money, but a man without dreams. :D

Ingle Farm don't win it from here would be a massive choke and off field changes would surely be a consequence

Good luck Carey. Ironically not the "Carey" on here that was rumored to be heading there. :D

Look out Div 7. 2023 will be a good year to be a Bulldog.

Wish him all the best, hopefully he can waive a magic wand that Jed couldn’t..

There's no such thing as a magic wand.. only hard work and dedication.

Whilst Jed didn't get the results he would've liked, and deserved, there is a reason he was at the helm for 4 years - he did a tremendous job, and his influence and impact better felt internally than in the W/L column. He laid a sound foundation and invested incredibly heavily into all facets of the club.

Hopefully his new role provides him with the on-field success he deserves.

Great get, a very concise operator that gains respect from his delivery, not one of these "if I yell louder, they'll listen better" type operators.

Good luck to all parties.

100%.

Have seen Carey be successful at clubs like Brahma where he was able to use his connections and great reputation to recruit really well. Have also seen him be successful at a Blyth through primarily developing the playing squad they already had an installing strong systems and improving individuals. He has a few tricks in his bag not a one type operator.

Very good get. Payney is certainly the right man for the job. Looking forward to watching how the doggies progress from here. Well done Bedgey

OSB/Lonsdale to improve vastly in 2023 with Michael Dean as head coach.

Bit quiet on here.

OSB / Lonsdale, Para Hills, Flinders Uni all big movers during the off season. Houghton by all reports have added some extra depth to their top side, whilst Mawson Lakes apparently are "looking super fit" thanks to the addition of a core group of players acquired from North Haven and Gaza.

Bedge has been dynamite on the track at Ingle Farm.

Haven't heard much from Hackham - they might be an unknown quantity.

Could be some disappointed folks this season - Para Hills, Houghton, OSB all expect to win it, and Flinders in the mix. Fancy these sides will be a fair way ahead, and then a bit of a log jam from 5th to 8th.

Predicted Ladder:
1. Houghton
2. OSB Lonsdale
3. Para Hills
4. Flinders Uni
5. Mawson Lakes
6. Ingle Farm
7. Hackham
8. Mitchell Park

1. Para Hills
2. Hackham
3. Ingle farm
4. Flinders Uni
5. Houghton
6. OSB Lonsdale
7. Mawson Lakes
8. Mitchell Park

Could be a really tight little comp this year. Expecting Hackham and Flinders uni to keep improving. Most sides up and about at the moment.
