Hahaha, yep A div one Grand Final spot handed to us. You know I like you and rate your understanding of the game and the SAAFL club landscape but I'm calling this your worst post of all time. It has to be a troll, if it is then its funny. If it's not then oh dear

McKay - probably Out
Schoenmakers- Out
Hand- Out
Bollmeyer- out

Does this look like my kidding face?

Obviously whilst it won't literally be handed to you, it may not work out the blockbuster you're all hoping it would be.

Ignoring the ducks and drakes, did anyone get out to the Goodies TTG game on Saturday? Reportedly they lost all their blokes in the first quarter and were without rotations for the day hence the blowout in margin?

I was told down to one rotation by quarter time. Got the two main injuries early. Having said that Gullies were able to win the second stanza but it all caught up with them in the second half.

You have got your finger on the pulse at PNU but I got a text saying that the Falcons also have 4 injuries. I guess they have just handed that GF spot right back. Probably even thinking about forfeiting

Garry's certainly added a few new faces to the train-on squad since last week. Indicates he has doubts over a few.

No need to be a smartarse about it.

The PNU injuries, depending on who they are, would definitely even out the score.

What's Petaringa looking like after today's weather?

It's a very good thing we're not playing at Payneham.

what a load of dribble

Sorry to go over old ground marby, and Cobby is a footy person I call a mate, but he was spent in 2005 in Townies Div 2 flag. He must be pushing 40 odd now and frankly, playing in finals shows little respect for the young ones.

Take your rose coloured glasses off.. he took over a top 3 squad - finals should've been considered a formality this year given the group.. doesn't make him any better a coach or any more respected amongst the playing group.

Believe what you like, but the clearances out next season will prove you wrong..

I'm just amazed no previous Henley coach has given a shit about its lower grades. Would have thought this was a necessity for all club coaches

Was talking to a few henley people at the game 1 an ex henley president and they were not happy cobb played and dropped a young fella. Cobby didnt really make much of a difference to the side. Was interesting that Backwell lined up aswell as he coached Glenelg Ressies and they played at 11:25am and were bundled out. Not sure what time he fronted as we got to the game just before qtr time.

Mouse and Cobby are peas in a pod from their time together at South. Absolute pests the pair of them!

You've got to be kidding about Cobb and Backwell. South let them go reluctantly because they both wanted to move on as stand alone coaches as most young turks would and were supported by the footy manager at South Adelaide. Backwell took Glenelg reserves into a finals campaign whilst their seniors finished second bottom. That has merit. Cobb took over a list that includes a number of strong minded long term Henley players that are set in their ways and introduced a game style that some of them SIMPLY didnt want to embrace. My mail is that he was completely honest with the group and has the respect of the team leaders as well as the committee and he will continue in that role as he should. Im not convinced that he had the support of the Henley legends group as they have been swift in their criticism of former coaches before. Heater 31 your post of peas in a pod and pests is totally unfair and whilst it may be your opinion I think you wont have many that support that. Both had stellar careers as players and will develope into successfull coaches. Ive never liked these forums that tend to be malicious in their comment whilst individuals hide behind a pseudonym but I have to come and say clearly that I doubt HIGHLY that there will be any exits from the senior playing group at Henley other than the usual retirements or players simply moving on.

Maybe I should add some context.....

Cobby and Mouse are great mates who still think they are still 21 years old......nothing wrong with that, it is probably why their friendship got Brett to play some games. With the Pests comment heard from a few South players that these two were always up to change room pranks and from what I can gather Backwell has always been like this even in his days at Carlton.

Cobb played just his 3rd game for the year and Blackwell hadn't played for a month. Seems strange they would play in such an important game. Only natural to think the two boys who missed out as a result might not be too happy. Reserves are top so its not as if they don't have depth
