On behalf of the entire Kenilworth Footy Club, thanks to Pag and the Salisbury Footy Club for the games today. Quality Football Club both on and off the field as always. Hope the injury isn’t too bad mate and no doubt you’ll get better with so many missing today.

Can we get spec savers down to hope valley and get the eyes checked on the umpires and especially hope valleys goal umpire.
Blatant cheating almost. Not saying woulda changed result.

I agree the field umpiring was terrible. The 2 in the A Grade had totally different interpretations of every rule and one didn’t know you can take it out of the ruck.

Glass houses with the goal umpiring though I’d say and blatant cheating is a big accusation to throw around.
One earlier in the day was 200mm inside the post and got called as hit the post

Haha 200mm - pretty specific!

I won’t comment on umpires, in my old age I’m learning the 24hr rule - sleep on it first.

Hope Valley are the real deal, players are following the coach plans well. Not sure what umpiring you are talking about.

Right now you could argue 4 teams are the real deal. Eastern Park v Hope Valley next week looks an interesting clash. It’s only early and there are some deleted posts already

Haven't see Hope Valley play like that for some time and the first time they have looked fit in 5 years. Also had about 5 good players out, like most clubs probably do. But they have very good depth in the "b" grade which will seperate the top 3 from everyone else is the quality of the seconds.

Agree to some degree but there is a difference between having a good b grade and having genuine A grade depth. Genuine A graders stick out like sore thumbs the lower you go in divisions. If you have 20 blokes at your club with a genuine A grade mentality and ability then you’re gonna go places - You’re always going to have injuries too so these blokes aren’t always going to be available.

We’ll soon see where we fit in the picture. We run the guantlet for the next 3 weeks with Smithfield, Hope Valley and Pulteney 3 weeks straight. It’s our turn after Lockleys did the same thing to start the year.

Felt for Rosewater yesterday - they clearly have some very passionate and committed members at the club, but certainly some absolute knobs.

Guys battling their arses off in both grades, some well out of their depth but still giving 110% and a few primadonnas abandon them when they needed them most - left their mates high and dry.

Obviously Rosies backyard to manage, but I hope the club tells a select few to **** off and not come back - you dont need that crap at your club, losing or not, no individual is bigger than the club. If you're going to lose, you may as well do it with committed blokes who are there for the right reasons, even if it means some short term suffering.

In other news, surprised Hillard wasnt in your best, he would've had 40 touches, would've picked up the 3 votes in a massive loss - he was huge. The ruckman (Harris?) he's a very athletic sort as well, could be a real player for you once he matures a bit more, if he can stay focussed on his work will be damaging - not many ruckmen that can jump onto another rucks shoulders from a standing start. Also Benbolt is a good sort, enjoyed his game.

Vines is poop, should retire, and the beard has to go.

Could be 3 of the top 5, with yourself and Lockleys, Eastern Park figuring for a spot in the 5.

Hillard was easily best in R1 too and didn’t make the best players then either!

Kenilworth way too good yesterday. Wilson-King is a jet. Thanks to the coaching staff and the lads that hung around under the verandah for a drink despite the long trip home.

Well if you want to see improvement, you’ve got to be a champion to drive change - otherwise you’re not part of the solution, you’re just more of the problem. 8)

Report to follow after Game Of Thrones.. but to those who said there wouldn’t be an improvement, I say “Alan Scott - you were wrong!”

Yeah thanks for the guidance on how we run our club, you lot are not short on knobs either.

It is fair bit easier finding standouts in our mob, you had 21 of them. And yes, we had many out of their depth. 10 lads under 19, a few straight out of 16s. Hopefully they dont get too disheartened.
