Good to see you're around - thought maybe you'd gone on a media ban, as we approach finals :P

How do you see Division Z playing out?

The bald headed #13* wacked him, and tried to clip his mate at 55:07

*Not to be mistaken with the 2 other smithfield blokes wearing #13 both in shot at 55:58

That 3rd quarter makes for interesting viewing, felt like I was watching a throwback to the 80s!

Surprised it all didn't just erupt and turn into an absolute mess.

Reckon umpires have a bit to answer for.. everyone quick to slam guys who do wrong, but when umpires appear to have no control, or let things go they shouldn't it just invites in bad behaviour.

There is a bloke running around in WCs B grade that they should cut ties with before he causes the club real grief.
TBH clubs should take responsibility for who they put on the field, he is dead set filth.

It was interesting after the 'melee' in the third the umpires started paying everything obviously in attempt to 'calm' the situation down but all it did was inflame tensions.

Interestingly in Union if the game reaches a boiling point the refs will speak to the captains and explain that from this moment forward they are going to get stricter on 'certain' rules. The captain then speak to the teams and relays the message. The game then resumes. This seems to work extremely well and im yet to see a 'brawl' or 'punch thrown in the my 5 years union.

In aussie rules the umps tend to do it without communicating to players over well. I reckon the umpires could learn a lot about communication and mutal respect from the way union refs control a game.

It's a lot easier in league/union to call time off and call the captains over - generally speaking it only happens after a penalty anyway, when there is a break in play.

Would be hard to in aussie rules - not impossible - but hard.

Also difference is a lot of rules are open to different interpretation depending on the how the umpire sees it, hence why variance between umpires each week, whereas league/union the rules are pretty black and white.

Even as a mate of his I think that is slightly on the low side. I believe he has a really good record so they obviously took that into account but the footage looked pretty damming.
