Your club might not of recruited yet but I know of many others in different divisions that have. The points system will hurt a lot of clubs i agree, but the clubs that have had the same core group of players over the last couple of years will benefit the most!

So they should.

Funny you say that because no club has recruited at all until the transfer window opens. All you have is paper waiting to be handedd in and also some written contracts or maybe a verbal agreement. With this new rule you watch how many are broken and torn up. Clubs are not going to pay blokes to play B's.

Jabber your saying losing a player with 300+games experience and knowledge of the game is not a big loss-Are u sure about that! IMO thought he did a good job as an ass coach last year and i for one hope he stays at the kennel.Has the new coach contacted him to see what his movements are next season?

Yeah what sort of moron would be spreading rumours like that? I take it back....... the Eagles wouldn't want to be coached by a soft outside player like Horse!!

It will be funny for those teams that have the money to buy players but can't fit them in because of points! Might see a lot of players in limbo with no club to play for?

Every team needs outside players, can't have everyone going in. Game style suits him, he get plenty of the footy!

He is too old to be an in and under player, I reckon the forward pocket might suit him nowadays.

Will make things interesting. Will be fine for my club due to the fact we have had the same group of players for a few years now, so should be plenty of free points available i would think? Not 100% sure how it all works though!

Clubs will have to chose there recruits wisely!!!

As clubs should already do. The wrong recruits can hurt your club regardless of how many points they are worth.

doesnt really matter if you had the same group..if they are points players they will be recorded as such..have a look on last seasons team sheets and you see numbers next to certain players names..that their points..if you have u/18s playing A grade they get -1 point which frees up more points..are you at plympton blackadder?

you wont be able to..they are generated through iscore, team managers from last year would have seen them..in regards to westies i dont know if their college kids are = to u/18s and you get a point off..with plympton they must hold their u/18s unlike last year..its so beneficial now..but dont take my word as gospel..im just sifting through it myself..

Not certain if i get where you're coming from keeping juniors will be beneficial but the minus 1 point only comes in to play if the player is under 18.

Yes that is exactly what i am saying, he is not a big loss. he played a handful of games.

I think he has been a great player over the years, love watching him in full flight. i doubt full flight was reached last year and would be reached this year. thats not an attack on him, he's getting older and his body is packing up. he's played a lot of good footy and he's allowed to start pulling up at this stage of his career.

If he believes he can further his career at another club then i wish him well. He's made a career out of 'revitalising' himself at other clubs, sometimes at the same club twice. sometimes that gives you a bad rep.

thanks bandar..understand now, i was assuming it was a, junior to senior, loyalty sort of reward..still beneficial to have the u/18s though if you are getting near 15 pts

is it alice wrote:micko definitely off to goolwa but sources say that corbett will go to henley and try and play divy 1 before going onto woodville west torrens. another midfielder for henley by the sounds. one wonders if he is good enough to make the midfield at henley though as a great midfield. so corbett for henley and not the eagles as first thought. big loss for lockleys though and especially down the road to a club where he might not make the side.

Corbett, Mickan + another quality midfielder all gone. Lockleys finally get out of Div 6 but will now need to pick up quite a few to cover those 3 plus the extra couple to cover the jump in divisions...

You are correct in saying he will not be president next year, why this is the case perhaps give him a call and ask but be sure to come back here with the answer.
