Trying to play down Hope Valley a little bit there DJ? With the numbers you guys have been having on the track and the amount of "Ins" to your club at the moment I would expect Hope Vally to be right up there this year in all grades.

We do have good numbers on the track and a few new in's, but we haven't played a trial yet. Some the in's are for players's across all our 4 sides, not sure on how the new players will go yet and that is not playing anythink down. Your'e side Bigshow is another story, all the Lodge posters told us it was all doom and gloom down there with all the players going to Eastern Park, Gummeracha and Salisbury West. Now 5 of players you claimed where on the move have changed there mind and your losses are about 3 "a" grade players and 3or 4 "b" grade players. Which you have replaced is that correct?

I doubt it. Lost the 2nd best ruckman in division last year and their nearly 100 goal full forward. Im gonna go out on a limb here and predict Brahma Lodge to finish....... 3rd ;)

The full forward is kicking on again this yr

I no that's why you blokes are favourite's, your only big losses are bellman, rv.But you keep telling us that they are covered by the new players.

also lost DJ Mac, Nathan Scott, Jamie Sibbick, Andy Curyer, Jake Williams are gone. These blokes all played majority of the year in our A grade and in the finals last season. So they are just as big of a loss as Bellman and RV IMO.

I have said before that we will field a competitive side no matter who we lose or recruit. We have most definately not covered every single player that left last season but have done some recruiting to fill a few holes. Like yourself DJ some of our recruits are not walk up A graders and could slot in anywhere throughout the grades.

Like it has been said many times on this thread, we will see when the season starts. Im looking forward to see how the playing group react after last season...

Enough about Brahma, next team

How do you replace Bellman or Sibbick? 2 massive outs alone. We have lost 8 from what played in the A grade prelim final, probably 4-5 from the B grade prelim final side plus a couple that did not play that day. As I have said all along we will field competetive teams in the A and B grade but is almost impossible to replace all that you lose, especially with the new points system.

Hey lads good to be back, it sure was quick and unexpected. Hope your all travelling well at the minute and looking forward to the start of the season. If Valleys is correct we have HV at home first up, can't wait.

And on the training front, we had 52! at training tonight, outstanding numbers.

Thanks DJ. Why is that? Does your C grade have someone else round 1? A triple header, one of the games under lights, would be great round 1.

No the league in there wisdom are trying to put us in c4, along with Adelaide Lutheran and Plympton. Instead of us leaving us with your 'C' grade, Lockleys, Woodville South and Brahma Lodge. Put Adelaide Uni in or another side and we could have 8 team comp with all triple headers beside the uni game.

I see, very wise. It would be great to have as many triple headers as possible as they always seem to attract decent crowds to the games. Last year we had some decent crowds when we had triple headers at home and there were plenty of numbers from us and the opposition that stayed at the club for a meal and beer or two afterwoods, which was great to see.

Brahma also has 3 teams and we are only averaging around the 30 mark, wouldnt mind knowing the secret ingredient being used to get everyone out on the track...

As the season gets closer and the trial matches start we will begin to see more faces at training i believe.

Our training numbers have been excellent. Why? I'm not sure. This time last year we were only hitting 35-40 with 18's included. Last night we had over 60 and the 18's were training at a different ground. If we knew the reason as to why there is such a big difference between 2010 and 2011, we'd bottle it and sell it to all the other clubs :D Make a fortune!

Or the fact that all the hard running is done and we are a month from round 1.....usually start to see 5-10 blokes roll out 1-2 weeks before (and somehow most are fitter that half the squad that has done pre-season  )
