Anyone care to comment on the story that's on 5AA at the moment regarding an U18's match between North Haven and Smithfield being called off during the last quarter due to the match getting out of hand after several players were knocked senseless (mainly North Haven players) and spectators storming the field with makeshift weapons?
Apparently several clubs this season have expressed concerns about playing against Smithfield and one club has already forfeited against Smithfield despite having enough players to play the match.

This is directed at their U/18s not their Div 5 teams.
Their Div 5 teams are rough but play pretty fair.
All i can say about their U/18s is FERAL. I know a few of em and they are potential inmates at Yatala. We have a merged U/15s with Smithfield and many of our kids parents have pulled their kids because of their boys behaviour.

Cheers for that Duncs. Even though I mentioned it at the top, like Duncs said, this is about their U18 side, not their senior A5 side.

Yeah, we are building up quite a repore with the St Marys boys. Great last quarter fightback from us, they thought they had us. The usual suspects stood up whenit counted. Halliday, Platten, Greensheilds. Have to say, some of the worst umpiring ive ever witnessed. One didnt move out of a 20m radius, too many pies and the other was on the Kookaburras payroll. But we beat them too, so all good in the end.

The B's, we did have a good game but they were a lot better than last time we played em. if they had a good forward target they would be ok. Had a poor one myself, pushed to Half back again where i struggle against lesser(no offence kookas) teams.

What a great day for footy today.
Argana Park was a bog. Great fun though.
A's in a thriller by 4 pts. Less than 10 goals in the game.
B's Well we fared a bit better kicking 13goals to 1.
Just imagine what some grounds would have come up like by the end of the day.

First things first. Thanks to the sunday mail for fukking up the one score of the year that mattered for us.
We tore apart Smithfield in the B's, real scores were.
Elizabeth 13.11(89) def Smithfield 5.3(33)
Best: Hyatt, duncs7, Briggs, Quirk, Cotter
Goals: Cotter 4, Eliis, Hyatt, Stobbe 2

It was a great game in front of a hostile feral crowd. It was sweet. The A's lost though but they played crap so they did deserve to lose.

Good to see Kookas Kenilworth B's got up in the cellar dwellers battle. nice one guys.

Ohhhh no - a loss to Smithfield.
That hurts - even though I haven't played for the Eags for 9 years.
Well done in the Bs, any win against the Cats is sweet.

I expect to be there early - but I have a family show to go to. It's a rare trip to Adelaide - so I'd better see the family.
What time does it start?

Switty told me he was boxing with Bairdy, so that'll be interesting.
What are some of the other match-ups?
