Yeah, he played a handful of games in the Reserves this year. 2013 was his first year at Houghton.

Looks as though the proposal is for nine teams in both D6 & D7.

Why............? Surely one of the gurus can work out something better than that. One bye per season is a pain in the bum, let alone 3

3?

Should've got the crows thirds side in - then you wouldn't have your bye

What else do you propose?
Don't play games with a girl who can play 'em better...

Long weekend then 2 others makes 3 weeks off & that doesn't include Easter off too. Just makes it a very stop/start season.

10 teams in Div 6 and 8 in Div 7. Play Div 7 over the first 15 weeks of the season, then top 4 play each other, bottom 4 play each other to finish off. Would mean Div 7 finals start a week earlier, but at least it gives them a full season.

Just my thoughts, and ready to be shot down in flames

I think the extra byes are great. Long season for players and volunteers otherwise.

smithfield..

i can tell you from direct experience the byes were a pain in the ass Q..makes for a stop start season with 4 "byes" in total if that occurs and you can count on one less saturday to make money at a home game..numbers fall away drastically at training in the off week..and its hard to keep momentum..you already have 2 byes as it is..your getting old Q! :)

The feeling I get from a number of players and volunteers within our club is that the extra byes would be welcomed.

Over the years we have had a number of players from leagues that have byes and they all comment on how demanding the SAAFL season is in comparison.
